Alex took to parenting instantly, even before the kid was born.
He was completely in love already, but when he finally held them and got to see them, that love intensified by like 1000000000%.
He’s protective as hell. If anyone ever threatens his kid or lays a hand on them, he’ll incinerate that person without a second thought.
Alex is definitely the cool parent. He was a rebellious little shit when he was a teen so he subtly encourages his kid to be too. Some would say he’s a bad influence, but he knows what he’s doing.
He’s also perpetually concerned about them. “You look like you’ve lost weight. Are you eating enough? Here you should eat something.” *gives them a handful of snacks that he has on him just for situations like this*
When their mutation manifests, he’s there every step of the way to help them learn to control it because he’s been through that already and understands.
He’s always there for them to talk to and is incredibly supportive, especially because that’s something he never got to have and he doesn’t want them to know that feeling.
Alex loves being a dad so much that he’s unofficially adopted every kid at the school.
