You woke up in a cheap hotel bed, sheets tangled around your legs and hearing a sweet tune being hummed, you remember last night and the beautiful girl you came here with.
Rubbing your eyes and walking towards to bathroom you’re not met with the woman with long blonde hair you had met the night before, instead she had short red hair and blue scaled skin.
She turned away from the mirror upon hearing you approach the bathroom, her humming stopped instantly.
She saw your confused expression, still not fully awake you said nothing.
Her dark blue skin’s scales spun, revealing the blonde haired girl with pale skin you remember, entirely dressed too, before spinning again revealing the blue girl in a bathrobe.
You stared at you, amazed
She looked right back at you, gaze unwavering and cold
“So I guess you’re going to leave now, huh?”
But you didn’t, you stayed.
And you went out many times after that, not just hookups. Somehow you’d gotten the ever so lone wolf Raven to stay with you, because you were different whether mutant or not you loved her for being her, not making her pretend she was someone else.

You set the box of donuts on the table, having stopped to pick up a few of Raven’s favorites on your way home and went to the bedroom to put on something comfier.
What you didn’t expect was to find Raven, crying and hurrying around the room throwing things to a suitcase on the bed
She saw you and stopped, she stared at you with tears pouring down her cheeks, not saying a word.
Not asking what was wrong you pulled her into your arms trying to comfort her, you’d never seen her so distraught, not even when Erik last got himself into trouble.
Raven pushed you away “(Y-y/n) you can’t! I c-cant I’m so s-sorry I didn’t mean t-to” it was hard to understand through her crying
“Raven it’s ok, what’s wrong? You know you can tell me anything” you took a step closer to her, seeing her crying like this broke your heart
She backed away from you “(Y/n) you dong understand! I’m a monster, I-i can’t.. I’m leaving” she shook her head wiping her eyes trying (and failing) to dry her nonstop tears
“Raven don’t say that! Your no monster, please don’t leave just tell me what ius wrong we can figure this out” there had been times her proudness broke, the mutant hate getting to her, making her feel wrong about herself. And you always comforted her, but this, this seems much worse.
She sat on the bed putting her face on her hands, still crying
“(Y/n), I’m pregnant.”

You slowly stepped towards her, wondering if you heard wrong though her voice was crystal clear.
Raven noticed your silence and looked up at you, her beautiful golden eyes that usually shone with pride instead looked like broken glass.
You shook your head trying to comprehend her words
Her voice turned cold, stern as if to herself.
“I cheated on you, I was at the bar and I did something stupid something I can’t undo and ruined the best thing I’ve ever had, us.”
As cold as she tried to sound, her voice kept cracking
“Raven…” Your voice just above a whisper but easy to hear, the room itself seemed to be holding its breath.
“you don’t need to worry, I’m already going” she said and slowly started to fill her luggage
“Raven” you walked towards her, her back still turned to you as she packed.
“I’ll be gone in no time, you won’t hear from me again I’m just sorry” her voice cracked as she choked down a sob"about all this"
You gently turned her around, pulling her into a hug
Raven didn’t hug back, she didn’t move at all, what were you possibly doing?
“Raven, you don’t need to go anywhere” you put your face in the crook of her neck, her smooth blue scales making you relax like they always did, reminding you she was there, in your arms.
“W-what?” Her arms gradually moved to hug you back, though with no force. She didn’t know what you meant
“Raven you don’t need to leave” you released her from the hug and gently wiped her tears “I love you Raven, I love you too much to make you leave. Especially when you’re so distressed and above all else, pregnant.” You planted a kiss on her trembling blue lips.
Bursting into another fit of tears she hugged you tightly, burying her face in your chest “Thank you (Y/n), so much” though her voiced muffled and feeling sad that she’d felt the need for someone else, you still gave a ghost of a smile at her words

9 months, 4days and 13 painful hours later
Exhausted, Raven rested her head on your chest, tears in her eyes while smiling down at the sleeping bundle in her arms.
You put your arm around her shoulder and gave her a reassuring kiss on the head making her give a tired laugh.
Raven layer back against the hospital bed unable to stay awake any longer.

Raven was gone. Along with all her ‘travel necessities’ the same things she had at her hotel room when you met her, the same things she had when you moved in together, the same things she packed when she thought you’d abandon her, the same things that are gone now.
You’d fallen asleep in the rocker in the nursery holding the sweetest little mutant baby after you had woken up to the baby monitor going off, telling Raven you would check on him.
But when you woke up this time, still cradling the child against you, Raven was gone, no note, no explanation, no goodbye.
Tears welled in your eyes, but they didn’t fall, a small sound of delight and a tiny blue tale wrapped around your wrist effectively distracting you from your sadness at the moment
Looking at your empty feeling, now one person bedroom.
You sighed, but smiled down at the happy little bundle of true happiness in your arms, yellow eyes glowing with joy
“Looks like it’s just you and me, Kurt. But don’t you worry, I’ll never let anything happen to you” you kissed his head, making the tiny blue mutant giggle
