Warning: skeleton mention, food mention, pumpkin carving mention but no mention of the types of tools normally associated with the action just in case it’s triggering 🙂

Kurt’s first Halloween would include:

• “VY VOULD YOU SCARE ME LIKE ZAT!”
• “Because it’s Halloween, silly!”
• Kurt would tilt his head to the side, clearly puzzled
• “Vhat is zis ‘Halloveen?’”
• going into shock because oh mY GOD Kurt doesn’t know about arguably the best holiday of all time
• “You poor child! I must show you the light!”
• you’d take it upon yourself to educate him in everything Halloween
• you’d watch Halloweentown, old Dracula movies, The Nightmare Before Christmas…
• “Vhy are ve vatching zis movie if it says it’s for Christmas?”
• “It’s kind of for both, you’ll see”
• “Zat ghost puppy is very cute”
• “VHAT ARE ZHEY DOING TO SANTA!”
• at some point taking him to different department stores to show him the decorations people buy
• “OH GOODNESS YOU POOR MAN! VE ARE TOO LATE TO SAVE YOU! SOMEBODAY HELP! HELP!!”
• laughing so hard you fall on the floor
• “VHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?! ZIS MAN HAS DIED!”
• “It’s a plastic skeleton, Kurt! He’s just a decoration!”
• cue embarrassed Kurt
• after that he would end up really enjoying it and you two would buy sooo many decorations for your rooms (shoutout to Charles for the credit cards he’s the true mvp)
• you would be watching Halloweentown and then Kurt would start asking questions about the traditions of Halloween
• “Vhy are pumpkins everywhere?”
• “Because that’s just what we use to decorate for Halloween… let’s go get some!”
• taking him to a pumpkin patch and taking so mANY pictures of him having the best time trying to decide which one to get
• he’d keep teleporting all around the field in an effort to find the perfect pumpkin while you just stood at the entrance smiling at his adorable childishness
• “Zis one?” *poof* “Maybe zis one?” *poof* “Noooo, zis one!”
• Once you got back to the mansion you started getting tools out to carve your pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns
• “Do you want a happy, sad, or scary pumpkin?”
• “Uh, happy? Vhy?”
• you wouldn’t respond and instead plunged your tool into the pumpkin and removed the top
• when you started to gut it, you looked up at Kurt who looked stunned
• “Vhy did you do zhat?!”
• “It’s just what you do, Kurty. We can use the seeds inside to make snacks later tonight so we don’t waste them!”
• letting him carve the face once you did all of the dirty work
• “I feel bad! I don’t vant to hurt it!”
• “You won’t! It was made for this, don’t worry, cutie”
• his tail would curl up a bit because of the nickname, this being his form of blushing
• weeks go by and he’s seen basically every Halloween film and horror movie made, but then you’d realize you didn’t have any costumes for the actual day
• going to three different costume stores before Kurt found the perfect costumes for the two of you
• he decides that you should be an avatar because,
• “Zey look sort of like me!”
• he’d then pick out an angel costume for himself so he could see how it feels to be like Warren for a night
• giggling at this but not mentioning to him that if he really wanted to be like Warren for a night he’d have to be a lot better with the ladies…
• after you got back from trick-or-treating around the mansion, you dramatically collapsed onto the ground and huffed
• “I’m sore everywhereeeee from walking so much!”
• he’d fall down beside you and only nod his head, his eyes falling closed
• the only light in the room was the warm glow emanating from the jack-o-lanterns you had made
• “Sanks for a perfect first Halloveen, Y/N”
• “The pleasure was mine, cutie”
