10k finds the pup in a small shed out the back of a house. The only reason that it has survived is the supplies stored in there. There’s water and there’s… sausages. The dog is so damn fat, 10k struggles to pick it up and carry it out of the garden.
The pup sits in the bed of the truck and no one notices him sat there when they climb in. a few miles down the road, Addy screams and the truck pulls to a halt.
“WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT.” “Kid, I think that’s a fat-ass puppy dog! First one I’ve seen without weed for years!”
10k covers the dogs floppy ears. He’s not sure if dogs can understand english. But he’s only small and 10k doesn’t think he should be learning swear words.
He makes the dog a ‘collar’ out of his bandanna. The dog seems to like it, he doesn’t try to shake it off. 10k is not sure whether he could shake it off if he wanted to, he’s not a very fit pupper.
Next the dog gets his goggles, and soon he’s a full on doggo-thousand.
Doc thinks he’s seeing doubles.
Vasquez wants to eat the dog for lunch.
“D:”
Eventually 10k figures out what to call the dog. He calls him Charlie. Charlie likes that name. He’s started to run now that he’s gotten him away from that everlasting supply of salted raw sausages. And he’s looking a little healthier.
Addy likes to mimic the little waddle charlie does when he runs.
“D:”
10k really hates Addy hurting Charlie’s feelings like that .
Charlie is his best friend. He cuddles up with him every night, pressing his face into his fur and kissing him softly. The breathing and the heartbeat next to him make him so happy.
He feeds Charlie his food when he can. Warren stops him the most of the time. But when she doesn’t notice, 10k prefers to share!
He teaches Charlie how to play fetch and how to sit. He’s still too big at the moment to roll over or play dead.
