AU in which Vasquez is protective of the reader, and when he catches 10k checking them out, he takes action
Since he found you locked in a car, dying of dehydration, Vasquez has treated you almost like a daughter. And as someone whose parents died a long time ago, you don’t mind in the least. He makes you feel safe, and you seem to fill some sort of guilt he holds about his own family. He’s the closest thing you have to a parent these days.
But being a parent isn’t just the good stuff. Especially with the way his own family died, Vasquez is overly protective.
Like, really protective.
You’re sitting on the hood of the truck beside 10k, feet hitting the bumper rhythmically as you explain the plot of one of the many movies 10k has never seen.
“Wait, so Snape kills Dumbledore?” He asks, brows furrowing.
“Yep.”
“And yet he’s a good guy?”
“That’s debatable. I mean, he was a dick to Neville and Harry and basically everyone. But in the end, he did a good thing. Doesn’t mean he’s a good person.”
“So that means the elder wand is Snape’s. Right?”
