yes, this is another dad 10k fic! 🙂

it’s been nine months, nine months of pain and worry but, at the same time happiness and excitement. you’re sat in the front of the truck next to warren, while 10k is sat behind you with murphy and doc. murphy being well, murphy isn’t too thrilled that you’ve taken his seat in the front and 10k is shooting him looks. 10k rests his hand on your shoulder and you push it off, lately you’ve been short with him and you don’t mean to be it’s just well, he did do this to you. “that sucks, doesn’t it? she doesn’t even want you to touch her. if only nine months ago that would’ve been the case we wouldn’t have to deal with this now” murphy says with an attitude looking at 10k, “shut up” 10k says looking right back at him, addy lightly smacks the both of them on their heads telling them to knock it off. a weird part of you almost wanted to tell murphy to keep going but, this is suppose to be a good thing. you’re having a baby, you’re bringing happiness into this world but, then again that doesn’t just take away all the pain you’re in. “warren, can we try and find a bathroom?” you say softly “that’s what i’ve been doing” warren says putting her hand on yours her lips going into a small smile. you pull up to a pharmacy and 10k opens the door of the truck for you, holds your hand and helps you get out. “thank you” you say softly, he smiles and mutters a “you’re welcome” and kisses your forehead. all of you go into the gas station weapons raised a z comes at you and you shoot it down but it falls on you and you almost fall over but, addy catches you. 10k notices and rushes over checking your arms for any scratches “i’m fine” you say. he looks at you still worried, “10k i said i’m fine” you say sounding more agitated “okay okay i’m sorry” 10k says softly. “come on i’ll help you get cleaned up” addy says putting her hand on your shoulder, she grabs a chair and pulls it into the bathroom, after checking for z’s she helps you sit down you rest a hand on your stomach and let out a groan “are you okay?” she says getting some water on the paper towels “yeah i’m okay, i’m just uncomfortable that’s all” you say forcing a smile, she smiles back and starts to wipe the blood off of you. she notices he goosebumps on your skin along with the fact that the shirt you have on now is way too tight also the blood isn’t helping either. “hold on i’ll be right back” she says squeezing your hand, you nod your head and she walks out.
“10k” addy says walking out, 10k gets up and rushes over to her “what? is everything okay? is she having the baby?” he says frantically, doc puts his hand on his shoulder “from what i can tell she’s got about two more weeks until that baby gets here kid” he says with a small smile on his face “two more weeks of that? all those hormones” murphy says throwing his hands up “it’s not her fault” 10k says looking back at him “i’m trying to help her the best i can, okay?” he adds getting frustrated “hey it’s okay” warren says rubbing his arm “okay, you know how you can help her right now?” addy says as 10k looks up “how?” he says softly “do you have any long sleeve shirts in your bag? something big and comfy? she’s really cold and her shirt is way too tight” she says, he frowns and then his eyes light up and he goes into his bag pulling out a purple and white shirt “perfect” addy says smiling “now go and help her” she adds.
10k walks in and you look up at him “hey” he says softly “hey” you say back he kneels down in front of you and puts his hand on your shirt going to lift it up “can i?” he says softly you nod and he takes it off and helps you slide on the long sleeve shirt “thank you” you mumble. he holds your hand “i-uh i’m sorry you’re so uncomfortable i-i know what it feels like to be in a lot of pain and i-” he starts to say but you cut him off getting mad “you don’t know what this feels like” you snap at him “y-you keep trying to help and just you’re pissing me off” you add raising your voice “just leave me alone” you yell with tears running down your face, 10k gets up looking surprised but, not angry and goes to say something but, just walks out instead. you sit there with your face in your hands crying and shaking and the baby starts kicking, which only makes you cry harder. you’re terrified and no matter what 10k says or does you get mad and annoyed at him, you can’t help it. doc walks in with another chair sitting down next to you and looks at you “kid, are you alright?” he says worried kneeling in front of you “n-no” you mumble through the years, a look of worry goes over his face “is it the baby? is something wrong?” he says “no the baby is fine, is it normal?” you say looking at him “is what normal?” he responds confused “this!” you say throwing your hands up pointing at your face “the crying, the yelling, me being mad at 10k!” you say desperately “kid this is all normal, you’re pregnant it’s just a bunch of hormones. they’ll go away after a while, you’ve got two more weeks, at most of this then the little kid will be here and this’ll all be worth it” he says with his arm around your shoulders. you wipe away your tears and nod your head “okay okay” you say trying to crack a smile “alright come on kid let’s get you back inside so we can all relax” he says smiling helping you up. “alright soon to be momma we set up the most comfortable arrangement that we could” addy says smiling as you notice the pillows and blankets set up on the floor, you smile and look around you see 10k off to the side “10k” you say smiling “can you help me sit down?” you add pouting a bit he looks at you almost surprised and smiles walking over to you “yeah of course” he says softly. you lay your head on his lap and he plays with your hair, you look up at him and smile. an hour goes by and you fall asleep “hey it looks like she’s finally getting some sleep” addy says “yeah” 10k says with a small smile on his face “she can’t rip your head off if she’s asleep so that’s a good thing” murphy says trying to be funny “drop it murphy” warren says tapping him. you feel the baby start to kick which starts to wake you up you let out a groan and start to move around “and that’s my cue to leave” murphy says getting up with warren following behind him “doc come with us too you need the rest also” warren says motioning for him to come with them he gets up and smiles at 10k. addy is still sat next to you and 10k, you open your eyes and look up at him and then to addy “is the baby kicking?” she says you nod your head yes “do you want to try and walk around that usually helps?” she adds you shake your head no and she frowns. you look up at 10k “do you have to do that?” you say letting out a sigh, he furrows his brows in confusion “do what? i’m only breathing” he says “do you have to be so loud about it?” you say “you’re kidding, you can’t be serious? that’s how i breathe!” he says getting defensive “yeah i am serious” you say lifting yourself up he looks at you and looks down and shakes his head “i’m going to go on watch” he says grabbing his rifle and walking out of the building. you look at addy “i don’t even know why i just did that, okay?” you say putting your face in your hands, she starts laughing and looks at you “i know why” she adds putting her hand on your stomach “very funny” you say in a monotone voice “he knows you don’t mean any of it y/n, the kid went from never kissing a girl to kissing a girl, dating a girl in less than a year and now he’s going to be a dad, he’s just confused and overwhelmed it’s a lot for him too” she says rubbing your arm “i know” you say “can you help me up? i need to talk to him” you add, addy gets up and reaches her arms out and she pulls you up she gives you one of the blankets “take this it’s a little bit chilly out there” she says “thank you” you say holding it.
you walk outside and see 10k sitting up on the truck, “tommy” you say softly as he turns around he gets off the truck and comes over to you “what’s wrong?” he says holding your hands “nothing’s wrong can we just talk?” you say “of course” he says softly helping you onto the truck, i brought a blanket" you say smiling “you keep it” he says putting his hand on your thigh “you need it just as much as i do come on” you say pulling it over the two of you “i-i’m sorry” you blurt out, thinking about how you could’ve started this conversation out differently. “sorry? sorry for what?” he says confused “the way i’ve been with you the past few weeks, especially today” you say looking at him “you have nothing to be sorry for” he says rubbing your leg “tommy i yelled at you because of the way you were breathing, i do have something to be sorry for, a lot actually” you say but mumble the last part he lets out a little bit of a laugh “so? you’re pregnant y/n, i know you don’t mean to be like that with me. i know the baby is making you all hormonal, i just wish i could help” he says holding your hand as you rest your head on his shoulder you start to cry a little and wipe your tears off your cheeks “you are helping i just suck at showing you that you’re helping, like this shirt is the comfiest thing i’ve worn in months” you say laughing a bit “i found that months ago, i just was waiting for the right time to give it to you” he says smiling. “tommy i’m scared” you say squeezing his hand “i know you are i am too but, this is a good thing. there’s a little piece of you and i in there, just think about that. you’re going to be such a great mom you have no idea and i’m already so proud of you. i love you so much” he says kissing your forehead, at this point you can’t speak because you’re crying so much but he holds your face in his hands and kisses your forehead again “it’s okay” he says rubbing your arm “y-you’re going to be such a great dad” you say your voice sounding shaky. he moves his hand down to your stomach and jumps a little when the baby kicks, you put your hand on top of his and start to laugh “does that hurt?” he asks rubbing your stomach “a little but for you i’d go through it a few more times” you say he smiles and kisses you and hops off the truck “come on let’s go inside and get some sleep” he says reaching his hands out to help you get down you get down with the blanket wrapped around your shoulders. 10k helps you sit down and then sits next to you. 10k pulls the blanket off of your shoulders and motions for you to lay down, you rest your head on his lap and he puts the blanket over you. “are you sure you’re comfortable like this?” you say “i am” he says smiling really wide. addy starts to wake up and rub her eyes and sees the two of you all wrapped up “i guess i’ll go take watch now” she says smiling getting up grabbing her z whacker, she walks out. 10k rests a hand on your stomach and the other he’s using to play with your hair “y/n try and get some rest now okay?” he says softly “okay” you mumble already falling asleep

“i love you more y/n” he says.
