He doesn’t want to tell everyone, but he doesn’t want to keep this cooped up inside his chest like some pressure cooker ready to explode. He just wants everyone to already know, but that’s not an option.
He tries to take on Vasquez first, because Vasquez is kind of scary, and if anyone were going to whoop his ass for it, it would be Vasquez. He takes Warren with him as protection.
