Peter realizes he’s ‘different’ from the other boys at a young age.

Of course, he’s got silver hair and can run at the speed of light, but there’s something more.

Something he can’t quite put his finger on.

That something only reveals itself in his teenage years, when everybody in his class starts to talk about sex. He feels indifferent to it. In fact, he finds he’s rather repulsed by the thought of being with someone in that way.

Of course, he doesn’t really talk about it to anyone and covers his discomfort with jokes – as he’s always done.

Wanda notices it, though.

She doesn’t need to be telepathic to know what’s going on in her twin brother’s mind.

She’s the first person he comes out to.

As soon as he meets you, he knows he’s in for a long run. He’s never felt like that before; he feels fuzzy every time you smile at him, feels entranced by the way you talk, move, breathe…

He knows he’s falling for you, and hard.

His heart flutters when he discovers that his feelings are reciprocated, and that’s how the two of you start dating.

You make him laugh when all he wants to do is cry, you make him believe in love even after Erik left his mother, you make him feel good about himself.

And after a few months, he decides to tell you.

“I’m asexual.” he murmurs one night as you’re lying side by side, his fingers running along the length of your arms as your head rests on his shoulder. He can feel his heart pounding against his ribs, anxiety making its way through his body.

What if you really want sex? What if you leave him? He’d understand – it’s something he can’t give you, and though it’d hurt him deeply, he’d be ready to let you go for both your sakes.

Your reaction, however, is something he hadn’t expected. His mind runs a mile a minute, and yet, he’s never thought that you wouldn’t care.

But you don’t.

That night, you tell him you love him.

And that night, Peter knows he loves you, too.
