AU in which the group takes care of 10k when he gets the booster shot
The moment the group settles down for the night Doc brings it up. 10k, who is sitting on the ground, his knees drawn to his chest, head tucked down, has a headache so bad he’s puked twice. He hasn’t spoken for two hours; he hasn’t so much as made eye contact with anyone for an hour
He needs the shot. Withdrawals are getting to him, and Murphy is getting to him.
Doc explains how it works, and what happens. They aren’t excited about it, and they’re all worried it’ll go wrong, but they don’t have much of a choice.
Addy walks over to 10k, and sits down beside him, touching his shoulder gently. His head snaps up, and he looks at her with wide eyes, his skin clammy. His lips part, and he says nothing, pleading with his eyes.
“I can feel him.” He whispers. Addy glances at Warren, and nods.
