the part where newt is arrested and his suitcase is taken away is so heartbreaking because he doesn’t say anything like “I’m innocent” or “I haven’t done anything wrong” his mind goes straight to the protection of his magical creatures and not the protection of himself. if that doesn’t show how selfless and pure newt scamander is especially when it comes to his creatures then i don’t know what life is.
