• him watching you with an adoring look in his eyes 
• your heart skipping a beat when he starts smiling more 
• giving him forehead kisses, even if you have to stand on your tiptoes to do it 
• him giving you forehead kisses, even though he has to lean down a little to do it
• him leaning into your touch because he loves how soft your hands feel on his skin 
• subconsciously tracing the scars on his hand when you hold hands 
• credence noticing this, and explaining to you the stories of some scars
• feeling your heart break and your blood boil when he describes some of the experiences 
• because how could anyone hurt someone as good and pure as credence? 
• calming him down from the nightmares when he wakes up crying or even screaming 
• this would include holding him, lots of kisses, maybe even singing a soft lullaby to him 
• late night talks about the wizarding world, explaining the nature of certain spells to him, where even though you’re both sleepy and tired, you don’t want to go to bed because both you love these conversations  
• the light in credence’s eyes during these talks, when you have his complete attention and he’s fascinated both by what you’re talking about and by you 
• watching credence drink gigglejuice for the first time 
• kissing the scars on his back because even though they’re raised and angry and cover nearly all of his back, he deserves to love himself and know that those ‘punishments’ he got as a child we’re bullshit 
• being surprised to find out he’s a little bit ticklish on his stomach 
• him resting his chin on the top of your head when you hug each other, and you can hear his heartbeat 
• making out before bed or early in the morning, even though he’s a bit awkward around intimate moments 
• during these make out sessions, he loves it when you kiss the spot below his ear because it tickles and he can hear the sound of your lips and your breathing and the way you croon his name 
• cutting his hair when he finally grows out his bowlcut, because he trusts you that much 
• his small smile when you crack a corny (but very funny) joke, along with a light shake of his head 
• him being the little spoon when you cuddle, even though he’s too tall 
• accidentally falling asleep on the couch with his head resting on your chest, your hand in his hair 
• not always sleeping in each others arms, but if one of you wakes up and see you’ve moved too far apart during sleep, you’ll move closer until you’re touching, or you can feel the warmth radiating off of the other one’s body 
• helping each other get ready for wizarding events to go to with newt and tina and queenie (“credence, can you button up of my dress/shirt please?” or “y/n can you help me with my bowtie?”) 
• the sound of his raspy voice in the morning 
• picnics in central park during spring and summer 
• knowing his favorite season is autumn, because of the colors and how it doesn’t get too cold or too hot 
• learning that he likes hot cocoa on cold mornings because it warms him up, and he couldn’t have any as a child 
• even though you never met her, hating mary lou for everything she made credence go through 
• because of what happened in new york, giving people dirty looks when they glared at credence from afar 
• trying to think of what ilvermorny house he would be in 
• defending him from anyone who says something negative about him or his powers 
• because it’s definitely not his fault that he grew up in an intolerant household, and he never meant to hurt anyone 
• and because he shouldn’t have to answer to people who thinks he’s evil or a freak or a monster, because he’s not and never will be 
• watching him build up confidence as the relationship progresses, watching him stand up straighter, hold his chin up higher, watching him speak louder and learning to appreciate himself like he does those around him 
• loving him and all his quirks and flaws and scars because he’s kind and gentle despite what many people believe
