so flash tosses the flowers into the trash and peter just stands there looking down and waiting for him to leave and when he does he makes sure no one is around and gets the flowers out of the trashcan even though they’re kinda ruined now so he just stares at them and tries to fix them and holds them to his chest while resisting the urge to cry because it felt really nice to think someone wanted him and little does he know that you witnessed the entire exchange so you approach him and say “i can buy you more roses if you want, they weren’t really expensive” and it takes him a second to understand that this means YOU are the one who’s been sending him all those cute things and he blushes really dark and starts stuttering because there is no way in hell YOU of all people like him bc you are amazing and he’s liked you for years

So you reach inside your backpack and pull out a bag of that heart candy with little messages and it has a note on it that says “candy can never be as sweet as you” or something cheesy like that and he recognizes the handwriting and he just wants to scream that he likes you but the words don’t come to him but he knows he’s smiling really wide so you come closer until your noses almost touch and you ask “can i kiss you” and he just nods and wham bam that’s how you got together
