request: hey!! if you have time could you do either an imagine or headcannon of platonic avengers x reader. Steve would be trying to do a team building activity where you are handcuffed to someone for 24 hours. and the reader gets paired with the avenger she likes the least because of how cocky he is, bucky barnes. and just kinda like a brother sister relationship.
okay so after your last mission, steve would decide it was time for some much-needed team bonding
you would all work fine together, but fine doesn’t cut it in the superhero world
you needed to work together perfectly
after hours of brainstorming a list of bonding activities
he came up with the perfect one
he was going to handcuff all of you with another member of the team for twenty-four hours
when steve told the group his plan, no one would be happy
“but steve what if we have to shower?”
“i have training tomorrow!”
you would be kind of excited for it though!
bc you might be paired up with someone that you actually liked!
peter and you would share a smile, hoping to paired together
you would be happy with peter, natasha, thor, wanda, steve, vision, sam, bruce or even tony!
literally every one but bucky
but bc of your luck…

oh hell no
“wait steve, can i be paired with literally anyone else?”
you would be so pissed off when steve told you no
bc bucky was so obnoxious
and cocky
and loud
and annoying
and you did not think that you could deal with him for twenty-four hours
bucky would just sit there smirking, sticking out his bottom lip when you made eye contact with him
the pairings would go as follows
bruce + wanda
tony + steve (wow never would have seen that one coming)
natasha + sam
clint + thor
peter + vision
you + bucky
of courseeee everyone else got good pairings
peter was paired with a fucking robot for gods sake
the kid looked like he was in heaven
natasha would put on everyone’s handcuffs
and clint would 100% make a kinky comment about it and natahsa would make sure to make his extra tight
you would be sitting stiffly next to bucky, not daring to talk to him
“come on y/n brighten up, you get to spend the next day with this hunk of a man”
bucky received an elbow to the side for that comment
after the handcuffs were on and the keys were locked away for the day, you would be set on your ways
everyone else would leave the common room, except you and bucky
“okay you little fucker, we need to set some ground rules”
bucky would sigh and try to throw a pillow at you
“number one, we are not showering until these are off, number two, we have to agree on everything we are doing, and number three, let’s keep talking to a minimum”
he would be mouthing off everything you sat, eliciting a slap to his arm
so there you two sat, having turned on a random movie
bucky would break the silence after a few minutes
“i’m bored”
you would literally ignore him
bc you didn’t feel like dealing with him
“y/nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn”
you were still ignoring him
“y/n y/n y/n y/n y/n y/n”
“WHAT TF DO YOU WANT”
“i just wanted to say that i loooove you”
that was basically how your day went
you would be visited by a few other pairs who were beginning to get annoyed with each other
also you were pretty sure that bruce and wanda hadn’t even spoken to each other
bucky and you would be actually better than you expected
you actually had some interesting conversations that were surprisingly enjoyable
and bucky made you laugh!
which is something that you never thought you would be able to say
you would never say it aloud, but you were beginning to actually like bucky
i mean you still think he was annoying
but so was everyone else on the team
you two would end up cooking a big ass meal for the whole team whle simultaneously singing disney songs together
“a wHOLE NEW WORLD”
“DON’T YOU DARE CLOSE YOUR EYES”
when the rest of your fav people filled, it became apparent that you and bucky were the only ones still functioning which would be suprsing to literally everyone
steve and tony would be arguing
vision would be ignoring the constant stream of questions coming from peter’s mouth
natasha and sam would be glaring at each other
clint and thor would be hitting each other with random kitchen utensils
bruce and wanda still weren’t talking
it was such a fun dinner….
luckily steve and tony volunteered to do dishes
well more like steve volunteered them
so you and bucky would make your way to his room to watch and movie and fall asleep
you agreed on watching heathers bc bucky had never seen it but you loved it
halfway through the movie bucky would turn to you
“you know i actually enjoyed today, except for the fact that i really have to pee”
“shut up”
“no but like i’m for real, i actually had fun”
you would just kind of smile at him
“but i still hate you”
you would hit him again
bc he was stupid
but you still loved him
even if he was like an annoying younger/older brother
it would have been a pretty fun day….
