Tom dating a makeup artist would include:
first meeting on the set of In the Heart of the Sea
you were shadowing the chief makeup artist as part of your work experience
but he asked you to do Tom’s makeup to give you some practical work to do
you two hit it off right away
in fact it was only a number of days since you first met that he asked you out
which he sprung on you during last looks right before they started filming which is stressful enough
but of course you said yes
you started hanging out between filming
after wrapping the film, you immediately started dating
you got your degree and walked straight into a job thanks to Tom
he would keep bragging to everyone about how amazing you are at makeup
and he wouldn’t work with anyone but you
he keeps you behind schedule because he’s constantly goofing around
dancing in the chair when you’re trying to powder his face
dodging the brush
and he continues to do it because he loves the sound of your laugh
even though you’re low-key losing it
you would practise SFX makeup on Tom at home all the time
Tom would come home to the apartment you share and smell isopropyl alcohol
and know you’re working on something
he makes it a game
‘how long until she realises I’m home before she asks to use my face’
you’re currently on 4 seconds
you test out different types of wounds on him sometimes
but one time Tessa saw it and freaked out
so you make sure she’s sleeping or otherwise occupied now
you would try and teach Tom how to do makeup
he’s so attentive
like you’re picking up different things and explaining them to him and he just looks on in awe
turns out he’s actually pretty good at makeup
Tom tracing your back with clean brushes
while watching season 12 of Face Off
because of you, Tom now knows a bunch of makeup terminology
hence the shouting at the television
“oh come on! It’s so obvious that he used cheap derma wax there. He’s not even trying to hide it!”
“you could do that easily, Y/N”
you get nominated for a MUAHS Guild Award and Tom is so proud of you
him helping you write your speech
“and I could never have done this without the help of my dreamy boyfriend”
“he’s just so handsome look at him everyone”
eye rolls for days
on the way to the event Tom keeps saying how much you deserve it
when your name gets called he would be in tears
and for the rest of the night he would whisper into your ear
“I’m so proud of you, darling”
