Y/N’s birthday was coming up and Bucky was freaking out. He had absolutely no clue what to gift the incredible girl and given his major crush on her, it was even worse. He had to make it special, had to make it stand out, but hearing what Tony Stark- genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist- or her best friend speedster Pietro, would give her made his heart sink lower and lower. Bucky couldn’t afford the things Iron Man could, nor did he know Y/N, as well as Steve, did. “Please, you have to help me out. You’ve known her longer than I have,” Bucky had pleaded one night, desperate for some kind of an idea, but the man he called his best friend only shrugged and plastered an annoying smirk. “Sorry, bud, but you’ll have to come up with something on your own. Besides, it shouldn’t matter what it is, as long as it comes from you.” Let’s just say Steve had been of no help. And neither had anyone else. He didn’t even bother going to Sam or Loki. Thor was away on Asgard for the time being, no doubt would he bring a spectacular present from his home realm. Wanda was working together with Nat to create the perfect gift for Y/N. Vision was doing what Vision did which meant Bucky had no idea what it was. Clint was back home on his farm, but still, a beautifully wrapped box had come to Y/N a bit earlier than intended, though everyone understood what the occasion was. Yet the contents of it had been more exquisite than anything Bucky had seen in a while at least in the weapon realm. A matte black bow made from a carbon mix that was the lightest material in the world, yet the strongest one at the same time, accompanied by a large range of arrows, everything matching, was displayed like a piece of art.
