Could you write a super fluffy thing with Loki, cuddles and a rainy night? Thank you!!

gryffindorwriter:

Loki wouldn’t particularly call himself a cuddler. In fact, he’d go so far as to call himself the complete opposite of a cuddler. He liked his personal space and cuddling was very clearly not personal space oriented.

But you’re sleeping only centimetres away from him and he can’t help himself. All he wants to do is wrap his arms around you and hold you. Cuddle you. He taps his fingers against the covers and sighs. This should not be as difficult as it is.

There’s rain pattering on the windows softly as he looks down at your sleeping form.

He considers his options. Lay down on his own side of the bed, turn away from you and fall asleep, potentially regretting not taking the chance he had when it was right in front of him or lay down next to you, wrap his arms around you softly and try not to wake you up… and potentially regret taking such a risk.

Loki screws up his nose. Decisions, decisions, decisions. That he doesn’t want to make.

The rain is getting a little heavier by the time he decides that he’s going to go for the first option: laying down on his own side of the bed, turning away from you and falling asleep.

It’s not until he’s actually laying down, head on the pillow, that he regrets his decision.

Loki huffs and turns onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. Why couldn’t this be easier for him? Why couldn’t he just be a regular person that wasn’t afraid– no, not afraid, just… a regular person who wasn’t afraid of letting go of personal space sometimes.

He glances over at you as you shift in your sleep, head snuggling further into the pillow and pulling up the sheets a little higher. His smirks a little, amused at your actions. He finds you adorable, he always has. That feeling almost overwhelms him when you’re sleeping.

Before he even realises he’s doing it, Loki moves closer to you, arms moving around you without a second thought. Like he’d expected, you stir awake from the unexpected interruption – but it’s not an unwelcome one.

“Loki?” You mutter, voice sleepy and quiet.

He presses a kiss to the back of your head. “Go back to sleep, love.”

You screw up your nose, noticing the rain getting heavier. You have no idea what time it is, nor do you really care. You can’t even quite comprehend the fact that his arms are around you, and you think that maybe this is just a dream. “Is it raining?”

Loki chuckles. “Yes, it’s raining.”

“And you’re cuddling me.”

“I’m cuddling you.”

You’re too sleepy to say anything in return and the shock of the moment doesn’t even register in your brain, but Loki doesn’t mind. You smile and take a hold of one of his hands, holding him close to you as if you’re making sure he doesn’t let go.

Loki falls asleep a few moments after you. He doesn’t regret taking the risk. In fact, he’s slowly becoming more confident that he might try and risk it again one time, this time when you’re more awake and can hug him back.
