Warnings: none.

requests are open for angst or christmas fluff – and for only Loki, Thor or Bucky!

please don’t plagiarize my work – I spend a lot of my time writing, copying and pasting destroys that. if you’d like to repost, please ask first – but even then I might say no.

There was a soft knock on your door and with furrowed brows, you stood up, wrapping your shall tighter around yourself and made your way to the door. Opening it, the sight of Loki was revealed, a nervous expression in his hands and his hands clasped behind his back.

“Loki?” You asked, tilting your head in wonder.

Loki smiled, “may I come in?”

You stepped aside, inviting him in and Loki didn’t hesitate. Closing the door behind him, you turned to him, catching sight of something red before he spun back around. He was, oddly, being very suspicious. And while Loki acted much kinder and civil around you then he did around anyone else, even this behaviour was odd of him.

“Loki?” You called again, “is everything okay?”

“Perfectly fine.” Loki reassured but you only narrowed your eyes in question. Sighing, he moved his hands from behind his back to reveal an object wrapped in something red – wrapping paper? There was even a bow tied around the present, gold ribbon and a little card on the front of it. If you had to remember, and you’re pretty sure you’re right, this is a midgardian tradition – Christmas, you believed.

“I know we don’t celebrate such a thing,” Loki started, almost with a scoff. “And truly, it’s pathetic… but I got you a gift for Christmas.” It was almost like Loki had to force the words out of his own mouth, which of course brought a smile to your lips at the idea of Loki going through a lot of trouble to get a gift just for you.

With a soft smile, you stepped forward and accepted the gift, holding it against yourself. “Loki… it’s very sweet, but why?”

“I heard you talking about how you thought Midgardian traditions were so cool…” Loki explained, his cheeks growing slightly red. “So I thought that maybe Christmas would be one you’d like to celebrate.”

You smiled, the meaning behind Loki’s actions unbelievably sweet. Taking a step forward, you pressed a gentle kiss against his cheek and grinned; “that’s very thoughtful of you Loki. Thank you.”

“it’s no problem,” he shrugged, his eyes falling to the present in your hands. Understanding his meaning, you begun carefully pulling apart the wrapping around the small box shaped object. Once the wrapping paper was completely gone, you took the lid off the box, revealing a green pendant on a gold chain. You felt your heart warm at the sight of such a beautiful piece of jewellery, glancing up at Loki with the brightest smile.

“Loki,” you breathed; “it’s beautiful.”

Loki grinned, nodded. Pulling the necklace out of the box, you held it up to him; “mind putting it on?” And with a small nod, you spun around, pulling your hair out of the way and waited for Loki to lock the necklace around your neck. Once he was done, he let his hand fall against your shoulder and you turned back around to face him. “I really do love it, Loki. Thank you.”

Loki let his hands cup your cheeks, smiling; “only for you.”
