A Magician’s Secret (Loki x Reader)

Note: Based on this request from @loki-wife, it might not be quite what you were expecting but this I hope you like it anyway! Reader is a street magician and blows Loki away with her amazing tricks.

May I ask you to do a request where Loki sees a woman he absolutely can’t stand because she’s just as good at trickery and deceit that it drives him nuts?

               "Honestly,
sometimes I can’t help but wonder whether these people really do have magic
powers,“ the woman said, earning a hearty nod from her companion. She
twiddled the initialled playing card in her hand as if waiting for it to give
up its secrets and, when none came, she sighed and went to shove it in her
pocket.

However, she didn’t notice when
it missed and ended up floating on the wind to where Loki sat. He picked it up
from the ground and began to examine it himself, running his fingers slowly
over the letters JD. Surely if there was magic present it would reveal itself
to him of all people. But, no. He was met with the same silence as the ignorant
mortal woman.

Loki had spent the last few weeks
watching you perform magic tricks on the corner, somehow managing to pull off
the impossible and leave your admirers amazed. As much as he could, he had
stayed back. He told himself that he was simply content to sit in the sun and
enjoy the new found freedom that he had. That he came to sit in the park at
exactly twenty past one because he liked to watch the bustle of people enjoying
their lunch break. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that that was
when, without fail, you began your show.
