You know Bucky would have a hard time believing anybody could be soulmates with him after everything the Winter Soldier’s done
Bucky also believes he doesn’t have a soulmate because he’s had that same mark since the 1930′s
Basically believes his soulmate has been long gone but little does he know
It happened when Steve was showing him modern day New York
They were walking through Brooklyn, laughing at memories that occurred at each spot they visited
Bucky looks around with a small smile as he takes in his old home
and then, he spots it or rather, you
His body freezes as he sees the tattoo that’s placed on your left shoulder
it’s half a tree, a plum tree (shh)
it shocks him because where the the tree is cut in half, as if it were on his body, it’s where his skin meets his metal arm
Bucky quickly pats Steve’s shoulder to get his attention
Steve gasps and nudges Bucky
The thing with Bucky’s other half of the tattoo, it’s under the metal covering of his shoulder
in order to see it, he’d have to take off the arm
Bucky refuses to make a move, standing still as he stares at you
You feel eyes on you and turn towards them, a blush on your face as you realize Captain America and the Winter Soldier are staring at you
Bucky automatically looks down and then to Steve
only to see that Steve is jogging towards you, stops to talk to you
all the while Bucky is frozen, staring at you.
After a few minutes, you come back with Steve, a shy smile on your face
