“I have plans for tomorrow,” Loki began as he looked down at you, resting his weight on his forearm next to your head. “I convinced Father to let us go on a little trip to Earth. It’s not your home planet, but it’s familiar to you and also one of the Nine Realms which gives us the excuse that this is research.”
You loved how thoughtful he could be sometimes. Without thinking and with a wide smile on your face you lifted your head to give him a quick kiss. “Thank you.”
“What are you going to do today?” he asked as he kissed your jawline, his lips trailing down your neck while he waited for your answer.
“I don’t know, I haven’t rea–”
You were interrupted mid-sentence when the door of his room bursted open and while you both turned there to see who it was, you already heard a familiar voice speaking up.
“Brother, I have great news,” Thor began but his voice faded once he noticed you. He was still smiling, and you weren’t entirely sure but maybe it grew even wider when he realized what was going on. “Y/N, you’re here. In Loki’s room.”
“Yes, she is,” he told his brother with an annoyed groan.
Thor lifted his hand to massage the back of his neck. “Why didn’t I know about this?”
“Because we didn’t tell you,” Loki replied without hesitation then added, “or anyone else for that matter.”
“So I’m the only one who knows?”
While Loki nodded, you couldn’t help but gulp. You should’ve told him the truth sooner but you either forgot or it just wasn’t the right time. Now you cleared your throat and decided to get this over with. “Actually, your mother also knows,” you said, your gaze slowly shifting from Thor to Loki.
He didn’t seem too happy about it. “You told her?”
“No, she found out on her own.”
Thor didn’t seem to be bothered by the situation at all. In fact, his face lit up from happiness as he watched you two. “I’m so happy for you. Really, I am. You know what? We will celebrate tonight!”
“Do we have to?” you asked with a groan.
“Yes!”
Luckily Loki realized things were becoming awkward and that you were becoming uncomfortable with the situation so he raised his hand and said, “Thor, please, could you just leave now? I promise I’ll find you soon but it would be marvelous if we could have a little privacy now.”
“Oh, yes, sorry. We’ll talk later,” Thor said before he waved and left the room.
Once the door closed both you and Loki let out a sigh, but you didn’t miss the small smile that appeared on his lips. You immediately knew how much he loved his brother despite the situation and the arguments they sometimes had. Although wasn’t this what siblings always did?
“Does he do it often?” you asked, earning a questioning look from him. “I mean, bursting into your room without knocking.”
“When he gets a little overexcited he tends to forget his manners,” Loki replied with a short laugh. “I think I’ll have to leave now. I’m sorry.”
