"Darling,
you know that it’s rude to stare,“ Loki said, leaning against the kitchen
worktop and taking a sip of tea from the mug in her hands. It was early, far
too early for rest of the team to be awake, so you weren’t surprised to walk in
on Loki alone. You were surprised when she set her mug down on the side and
poured you one of your own. Normally nothing – not even you – could interrupt
Loki’s daily contemplation over morning tea.Nodding briefly in thanks, you
jumped up onto the central island – finding it far comfier to sit on than the
chairs around it, much to Tony’s disdain (he had once told you, “People
have to prepare food on that counter, Y/N, they don’t want your ass germs all
over it.”) – and savoured the taste of that first sip. If there was one
thing that Loki always did right it was make the perfect cup of tea. It sent a
wave of calm through you, setting you up for the day in the best possible way.
Relaxed enough to trust yourself to look back at Loki now, you couldn’t hold
back from the way that your eyes travelled over every single inch of her body.Tilting her head to the side,
sending you a questioning look as her long black hair cascaded over her
shoulders, Loki gripped the side of the counter so tightly that her knuckles
turned white. You’d seen her do that before, mainly when she wanted to avoid
her nervous tick of wringing her fingers together. Her voice light but caged,
she said, “I suppose you have a few questions?”
