‘A Deal’s a Deal’

Three.

Loki clasped his hands in front of his abdomen after having
knocked. He received no immediate response, and cleared his throat awkwardly.
It was 3 o’clock in the morning. He’d been deliberating this for quite some
time. However, he’d acted on sound information.

Insomnia had taken a hold of you many months ago, after a
mission gone wrong had led to your kidnapping. When the Avengers had finally
located you, terror didn’t cover half of what you were feeling. Every night since,
after an hour or two had peacefully passed, you could feel a pair of hands
around your throat, and a voice demanding information.

The first time it happened, you were spending your first
night home alone again, you deemed it a nightmare and rolled over. The second
time it happened, you were a little more concerned. The third time brought you
to your knees outside of the closest bedroom door yours. Weeping. Shaking.
Sleep-deprived. Thor had taken you in without hesitation.

Yes, he concluded. You would definitely be awake.
