Sticky Notes

Tom Holland x Reader

Summary: You left a sticky note with a spider-man doodle on a table in a coffee shop to find it again tomorrow with someone’s reply. And it turns into a daily, note exchange. You just didn’t know that it’s with Tom Holland.

Everything started from the spider-man doodle you did on a sticky note when you got bored while working on an essay in your usual coffe shop. When you’re leaving, you forgot to throw it away and left it sticking onto the table instead.

You forgot all about it until you saw it again the next morning when you came back. It’s quite weird that no one has thrown it away already, but considering that your spot is way at the back of the cafe, you didn’t thought much of it. That is until you saw something written below your doodle.

You a fan of spider-man?

Raising an eyebrow, you search your bag for a pen and wrote below it.

Yeah. You too?

The next morning it was replied with a super small handwriting crammed below yours, so it can fit the empty space of the sticky note.

You know I’m actually spider-man. Can you be a fan of yourself?

A chuckle escaped your lips and you replaced the sticky note with a new empty one. You decided to save the old sticky note in your bag.

Oh, so you’re Peter Parker? If that’s how it is, then hi, I’m Gwen Stacy.

And since then, the sticky note conversation is a daily thing to do. After a couple of weeks, you became quite good friends with ‘Peter’. None of you had ever told the other your real names. Instead, you keep calling other Peter and Gwen.

The notes became something you look forward to every morning. You don’t know if it’s even possible, but it seems like you’ve developed a crush on the mysterious ‘Peter’. So today, when you didn’t find any sticky notes on the table, you can’t help but feel a bit disappointed.

You’re opening your laptop when Vi, a barista there, approached you and sticked a green sticky note to the table.

“Someone sat here earlier, so I thought I’d save it for you.” She said, when your eyes drifted to the sticky note. “I didn’t look. I promise.”

“Now that you’ve said it, I have a feeling you did.” You said, narrowing your eyes playfully at her.

Vi smiled guility. “Sorry, it was only a tiny peek though. You guys are just too cute. It’s like something out of a romance book.”

“Romance?”

“He-“ she started, pointing at the sticky note, “always had this smile on his face as he reads your notes.

“And don’t think I haven’t noticed how excited you are when you come here everyday. I mean, the coffee here is great and all, but I’m sure it’s something else isn’t it?” Vi smirked, wiggling her eyebrows at you as she went back to the counter.

You felt your cheeks warm from her comment as you finally read the note.

Wanna meet up tomorrow? I want to see who I’ve been talking to for weeks.

You looked up for a second to see Vi looking at you. She quickly turn her gaze away and starts tapping randomly at the screen in front of her making you shake your head in amusement.

Returning your attention to the note, you finally make up your mind and wrote below ‘Peter’s’ handwriting.

I’ll be here at 12 p.m:)

Your heart is racing as you entered the coffee shop. Meeting ‘Peter’ is all that you could think of since yesterday. Drifting your gaze to your usual spot, you see a boy with brown curls. He was looking down at his phone, so you can’t see his face.

When you pass Vi, she gave you a grin and a thumbs up that you returned with a nervous smile. Approaching Peter, you noticed he had ordered drinks for the two of you.

“Hi.”

He whipped his head up and your gaze locked. It’s Tom Holland. You need to keep your cool.

“Hi. Are you Gwen?” He asked and you nodded as you took the seat opposite from him.

“It’s Y/N actually.”

“Y/N.” He repeated, as if he’s testing out your name. You liked the way it sounded coming out of his lips.

“I’m Tom,” he said with a smile.

“I know. Looks like you’re not lying when you said you’re spider-man.” You quipped, raising your eyebrows at him.

“You think I lied? I’m hurt.” Tom pouted playfully and you rolled your eyes at him fondly.

Then, Tom shoved a hand into his pocket and pulled out some of your sticky notes that he had saved. “It was fun talking to you.”

You rummage through your own bag and pulled out your own sticky notes that you’ve saved. Tom’s eyes lit up when he sees it and you gave him a grin that matched his.

“Do you wanna go out for some coffee sometime?” Tom asked, tilting his head a bit in an adorable manner.

“We’re already doing that right now, Tom.” You gestured to the coffees in front of you, trying to sound relaxed even though your heart is doing cartwheels in your chest.

“How about ice cream then?”

“Sure.”
