Hero (Loki x Reader)

startrekkingaroundasgard:

Note: To my lovely anon that suffered from the IW feels, here is a little one shot for you based on your request! I’m sorry it’s taken a while but I hope that you like it and it soothes your breaking heart 😀

Could you write us a fluffy Loki x reader, where
the reader is this huge fan of Norse Mythology and he is her favorite
God so she freaks out when she meets him and it’s all fluff?

Words: 2035

Requests are open, so do feel free to drop me one here.

Let me know what you think, tag lists are open and you can find my other fics here:

               "Brother,
I would rather be in a prison cell than go along with this. Being paraded
around in front of the mortals like some kind of animal. It’s
humiliating.“

               "Shut
up, Loki,” Thor grumbled, standing in front of the large mirror and
adjusting his cape. He had already adjusted it fifty times but never seemed to
be satisfied with how it looked. “Stark does this every few months to
raise money for charity. The humans donate much to come and meet their heroes.
The least you could do is sit there and be polite to the people of Earth.”

               "I’m
no hero,“ the younger Asgardian pointed out, rolling his eyes as he
stepped out of his chair to help Thor with his cape. Thor really could be
useless sometimes. Loki often wondered how his brother would ever cope without
him by his side to look out for him. Of course, on occasion, the urge to betray
him reared its head instead but Loki was trying
to resist stabbing Thor every time he said something stupid – even if he gave
in to temptation more often than not – so surely it was the thought that
counted.

Tugging on the corner of the
luridly red cape with enough strength to pull it straight but not quite hard
enough to rip the fabric, Loki nodded at his brother’s thankful smile. With a
deep sigh as he pulled on the collar of his own reasonably formal attire (minus
the armour and the cape because, really, this was going to be bad enough
without drawing any more attention to himself), Loki asked Thor again why his
presence was actually necessary.

Thor patted Loki heartily on the
back, hard enough to actually make him stumble. “Brother, I’ve told you
already. As one of the Avengers, you are
a hero to the people of Earth. I assure you that there will be those that have
come solely for the pleasure of meeting you. They love us!”

               "They
love you. I sincerely doubt that that
same affection extends to me.“

               "Do
not be so pessimistic, Loki. I doubt it will be as awful as you imagine. You
might even have fun.”
