Summary: After a long day, Liam and you get sentimental.
Today had been an especially stressful day for both Liam and yourself. If the everyday responsibility of being in high school wasn’t enough, the added supernatural element sure added a weight on your shoulders. Even though you were only human, you were dating a werewolf, and very much involved in everyday pack activities. Immediately after school was over, you were dragged into pack business. Of course, with the many enemies now invading Beacon Hills, the pack had been involved in another fight.
It was easily past one in the morning when you returned home, sneaking upstairs to your bedroom as your parents slept. Within five minutes of being home, you had gotten ready for bed, gotten into your comfiest pajamas you could find, and unlocked your window, knowing Liam would be showing up sooner or later. The second your body hit the bed, you heard your window click, Liam swiftly climbing in your room and closing the window behind him.
“You know, I have gotten way better at that,” Liam laughed, remembering the first few times he had tried to climb in your window, resulting in a few different instances of falling from your second story window or tripping into your room so loudly your parents had come to check on you. He quickly stripped his shirt from his body, reaching in your dresser where he kept a pair of sweatpants. After changing, he turned off your bedroom light and climbed into bed next to you. As you draped your blanket on top of you both, Liam placed a swift kiss on your lips before you cuddled into his side. He wrapped one arm around you as you buried your head into the crook of his neck, letting out a sigh of satisfaction.
“I’m happy everyone is okay after today,” you mumbled into his neck. Liam nodded as he brought you even closer to himself. “Did you ever doubt us?” Liam laughed, as you hit his chest playfully before allowing your hand to rest there. “Well did I worry? Of course. I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to any of you. Especially you,” you spoke softly, tracing shapes on his bare chest. A few moments of silence fell between the two of you, time in which Liam began playing with the ends of your hair. “I love you,” he finally spoke, causing you to smile. “I love that you worry for me. I love our late night cuddle sessions. I love that you anchor me,” he continued, a big smile crossing his face as he looked down at you. “I love when you bite you’re lip when your deep in thought,” Liam said, “I love that you come to all my games and cheer me on. And of course, I love how smart you are. Seriously, why are you even with a dumbass like me?”
“Oh please,” you chuckled, reaching for his free hand and intertwining your fingers with his. “I love how simply holding your hands in mine make me feel protected. I love how your nose scrunches up when you’re confused.” Liam scrunched his nose up, making you let out a laugh and smile back up at him. “I love how you can cheer me up, even when I’m in full fledged bitch mode,” you said as Liam shook his head. “A bitch? You? Never,” Liam smiled as you stuck your tongue out at him. “I love that you bring extra pens with you to class because you know I always loose mine. Even though I don’t always agree with your, well, reckless decisions, I love that you are willing to do whatever you need to do to help your friends. I love how much you care. You care with your entire being. Overall, I love you cause… you’re you.” By the time you finished, you could see Liam blushing even in the darkness. Nothing else needed to be said, as you dug your head into his neck once again, his head leaning on top of yours. That night, the two of you lulled each other to sleep with the sound of each others heartbeats, the smiles never leaving your faces.
A/N: I think I’m going to write a separate imagine all about Liam climbing in your window? What a goof lol
