For some reason my mind decided to think that Tim would actually be a great person to go shopping with? Like, he’d probably keep track of time but not in “I want to leave” type of way, just a make sure you spend a reasonable time in a certain store and visit others. He’s patient and maybe distracted, but if the questions “does this look good on me” Or “what do you think” comes up, he’ll look up and comment on what color might better suit you or how what you’re trying on might compliment you, IDK

I see it two ways.

Keep in mind that for this scenario to take place the following things are needed:

1 Full night of sleep for him
1 Full stomach
3 (at least) cases solved in the past 7 days
0 open cases that are really important
1 invested Timothy (But let’s be honest, if it’s about his s/o he would be invested)

Basically, I agree with what you said 100%. He will have calculated what the best route is to get to every store you wanted to once without losing any time, and with enough snack stops in between to stay energized. 
It would be so smooth and fluid and with exactly ZERO (0) stress involved that once you’re done shopping, packed with dozens of shopping bags you’ll have barely registered how much time has passed and that you, in fact, got everything you needed. He would stay in line for you while you get dressed in the changing rooms, tell you honestly how you look in the stuff you try out and even tell you that something looks horrible in the nicest way possible while complimenting you in the same breath.

But also:

Distracted Tim who tries to keep up with his s/o but would rather do anything else and shows that by dragging his s/o into the weirdest shops (between the important stops) bc they look like fun and entertaining. Tries weird hats on, fake mustaches and tries drinks that have WAY too many colors in it and stuff that barely identifiable. Partly bc it’s entertaining and mostly bc he likes to hear his s/o laugh and doesn’t want this to feel like a chore. I mean he carved out a lot of time in his schedule to do this for his s/o but mainly WITH his s/o and he wants to enjoy their company.

He will DIE right then and there of happiness if you buy Red Robin merch with him. He would be so weirdly happy about it he wouldn’t stop smiling for hours. You made it a point to buy at least one Red Robin related item whenever he shops with you bc its fun to see how happy he gets while he tries to hide it.. and also, you can’t possibly have too much Red Robin merch.

Also: Trying on cheap Halloween costumes and dressing up like the cheap version of barman just because you can and its fun. Trying on the Sexy version of Batman’s costume and barely being able to laugh from laughing too much.
