imagines-of-the-unknown:

You trudged on through the dusk lit forest with your large backpack. You absorbed the warm that the sun provided. It was the beginning of autumn, so the leaves just started to fall. You were able to hear the satisfying crunch of the leaves with almost every step.
“How much farther till the spot?” One of your friends whined as they leaned against a tree panting. You turned around and rolled your eyes.
“Only a few more minutes.” You tried to sound positive but the constant nagging was driving you crazy.
“That’s what you said last time.” Another trooper of your little group complained.
“It was only ten minutes ago, c’mon you can hear the river.” The other two sighed, adjusted their backpacks and walked passed you.

After finally arriving to your destination and setting up your tents you were designated wood collector, naturally. You were almost tempted to just take a log rather than digging through leaves. After a while of just grabbing twigs you decided to jump and break off branches.
“I don’t think the tree likes that.” A sly voice whispered next to your ear. You used a stick to his the person behind you. But there was nothing there. Well there goes you anxiety.

Shakily you wandered back to the campsite always looking behind you.
“(Y/N), shhhhhh.” One of your friends hushed you as they pointed to a deer standing stoically in the middle of the river staring dead at you dead in the eye. The deer walked ever so slowly towards you. Your friends watched amazed as the deer paused to be less than a meter away from you. A green shimmer covered the delicate creature to reveal a rather annoying creature.
“Hello darling.” He smirked, but that instantly dropped as you shoved your pile of sticks in his arms.
“Cool, can you magic us a fire as I prepare dinner.” Your friends stood there gobsmacked at your nonchalant attitude. Loki frowned and followed you almost like he was a child being told off by his parent.
“I thought you would be more excited to see me.” He knelt down in front of the circle of rocks dropped the sticks snapping his fingers, the sticks glowing, flames growing and dancing in the air.
“It’s my weekend off, I’m not babysitting for Thor.”

The god rolled his eyes standing up following you with his hands behind his back.
“He’s actually returned to Asgard, I’m just avoiding him.”
“So your annoying me?” You said with a voice of hatred, but a smile betrayed you.
“I’m better company than these two.” He nodded his head towards your two friends who took out their phone to take hundreds of photos- well one was actually taking a video to document this sensational moment. You shook your head at them.
“I beg to differ.”
“Then beg.” You smirked wickedly, he knew you would challenge him. He enjoyed a bit of challenge.
“Then make me.” You whispered offering him a sly smile.
