How about Keith reacting to his s/o saving him from that weird time cave and joining them on their mission?

• He wasn’t nearly as slick as he thought he was
• At least not when it came to you
• Before him and Krolia were completely out of range, he has sent you information about where he was going
• Just in case something happened… He wanted you to at least know what he was trying to do
• The only issue was that he didn’t anticipate you deciding to come after him
• With the time dilation, it wasn’t actually all that hard to catch up to him and Krolia
• That being said, in their eyes, you didn’t appear until a few months into their journey
• Keith thought he was having some sort of hallucination
• That his time there was starting to get to his head or something
• It wasn’t until Krolia almost attacked you that he came to his senses and stopped her before explaining who you were
• Or, well, more like telling her that you were the person he had been telling her about
• Once things are settled, he’s confused and worried and maybe a little upset
• He wouldn’t have told you where he was going if he knew that you would come after him
• More than anything he just wanted you to stay safe
• Krolia is a little more practical about it
• They could use any extra help they could get
• And besides, she likes your spark
• There isn’t really anything that Keith can really do to send you back so in the end he’s alright with it
• Or, at least, as alright with it as he can be
• Krolia tells you everything that he had said about you and then he’s slightly less ok with the situation
• It’s hard to have any privacy on the back on a giant cosmic whale but he does his best to find places where you and he can go to just spend some time together
• If it’s gonna be a long trip, he figures he might as well take advantage of that and spend whatever time he can with you
