The pain was overwhelming, but this wasn’t your first explosion. You knew better than to jerk upright and stumble around like a drunken goat, so you kept your eyes closed. Based on the quiet hum around you- and the fact that you weren’t choking on the wide expanse of space- it was most likely that you were found. Question is, were you saved or captured?
The last thing you remembered was Thor trying to shield you from the blast before everything went dark. The sound of his cries mixed with the entire ship blowing in every direction was so loud, you weren’t even sure you had heard them. The cool air you felt all around you hinted that wherever your love was, he wasn’t covering you like he was before.
Thor… Your heart ached to find him, but you were scared that you were too late. A part of you wished he had survived the explosion as well, but you saw what Thanos did to the others. To all your friends and the good people of Asgard. Thinking about all the pain you and Thor had gone through the past year was too much for your mind to handle. A chill went through your spine, making you shiver. It was a lot colder than you had thought. Maybe the vacuum of space should have just sucked you up after all.
