hc for the band and their s/o adopting an animal

last-living-imagines:

Remember kids: Adopt don’t shop!

Murdoc: Honestly he would probably go for some kind of big dog, but ends up leaving the shelter with a small puppy (that would stay small) or a kitten. Basically whatever his s/o wants. As stated in one of my other imagines, Murdoc would probably hate the thing to start off with, but give in to the small creature’s desires and loving it unconditionally. If it was a puppy, he could be found in his and his s/o’s room playing with it, playing tug of war with one of the many toys they’ve bought for it.

2D: Okay there’s no doubt in my mind he would get a cat. Like I can’t see him with any other animal. Stu would absolutely adore the little animal and treat it like royalty, just as he does with his s/o. He’d always be taking pictures of his lover with their cat, especially if the two are cuddled up together. 2D would let it climb all over him, usually walking around with the feline curled around his shoulders or in his arms. He’ll talk to the cat sometimes when he’s got writer’s block or if he’s trying to make a decision. The cat would meow back, always comforting him when he needs it, pushing its head against his or licking him.

Russel: Not gonna lie, I can see Russ getting a bird. Some sort of parrot. When he’d bring the bird home, he would make sure it was accustomed to everything and wasn’t stressed about being in a new place. Once everything was settled, he would start laying down new beats for the next album, playing them over and over again. Sometimes, he would forget to write them down or record them, but would be pleasantly surprised when his bird would start making a sort of beat-boxing sound, playing the forgotten beat. This would go on for some time, then the bird would learn a new one. On occasion, he bird would mix up multiple beats that it had learned, giving Russ something new he could use. If he repeated a beat back to the bird, it would get excited, flying over and perching on his shoulder, rubbing it’s head against his cheek or neck.

Noodle: She’d get a leopard gecko. It would be something small that she could take pretty much anywhere, even on tour with her if she really wanted. After getting her new friend adjusted to their home, she would always carry it around, putting it on her shoulder or in a sweatshirt pocket. Sometimes she would notice the gecko was getting a bit cold, so she would place it in her bra (a friend of mine does this with hers, it’s normal.) till she could get it back to its heated cage. Her s/o would pretty much do the same, but would be hesitant about putting the reptile in their shirt. She would love taking pictures of her little friend, putting on themed photoshoots for it around holidays. Her s/o would hold props and even take pictures with the animal, kissing it and lightly holding little hats on its head.
