Could you maybe write a scenario or headcanons (whichever you prefer) about L with an average S/O? Like they serve him coffee, sweets, bring his papers, and they just there for him to talk? They are not a detective and obviously nowhere as brilliant as him. I like this idea of L dating someone who is not related to his work

•L loves dating someone not in his line of work. His partner is an opportunity to try new things, even using them as a guise for his love of trashy reality television (they totally make him watch it, he totally doesn’t put on a Shot at Love with Tila Tequila on his own accord nooooo not at allllll)
•He doesn’t learn to relax until he met them. Until that time, he never had any reason for downtime. L realized quickly that he couldn’t throw his life into work anymore and that was totally okay with him.
•When the relationship reached a point, L makes sure his partner comes with him wherever he travels. He promises a life of luxury and he would financially support them so they no longer needed to work. He keeps good on those promises.
•L would listen to his partner when they would come into his work area, place their hands on his shoulders, and told him it was time for a rest.
•They mix his coffee just right, down to the exact number of sugar cubes. L no longer wants Watari to bring him his coffee.
•Days off, by his partner’s request. All day spent doing the mundane activities of a regular couple. Playing gin, two handed euchre, snacking on sweets, and snuggling together on the couch under a blanket. L acts indifferent, but he secretly loves these days more than anything.
•When the case weighs especially heavy, his lover is his crutch. He keeps the details of his work private, not wanting to plague his lover with nightmares of the most depraved of society. But he can trust them to keep his concerns, worries, and doubts a lifelong secret.
•He helps them with the daily crossword. He knows all the answers with just a glance, but never gives it away.
•L comes to depend on those days with his partner, able to escape the lives of the world’s three greatest detective. When he did, he slept sounder. His body ached less, his posture slightly improved. To love and be loved in return can breath new life into someone who thought they had it all.
•They treat him like he’s nothing special and he respects that incredibly. When people tell you your whole life that you’re unstoppable, the smartest living person, it was humbling to have someone love him for his most basic qualities.
