They Catch You Listening to Gorillaz

2-D:

2-D walked down the halls of Kong Studios, searching for you since he had gotten home early from running errands for the other band members. He told you that it would probably be around two hours, but he was back home in only one. He was happy because that meant more time to relax and more time to hang out with you. He faintly heard music coming from your room as he approached it. He tilted his head a bit. He hadn’t really heard you listening to music before, only that you were a fan of Gorillaz, so he was pondering what your tastes were. He pressed his ear to your door and blushed as he realized what the song was: “Sleeping Powder.” The song that he had released a few days prior. He could hear you singing along and thought that it was rather cute. He opened your door and you looked up at him with wide eyes, “D, you weren’t supposed to be home for another hour!” You laughed as you turned down the music, “Did I tell you how much I love the new song? I’m so proud of you!” You told him which made 2-D blush all over again, “Thanks, [Y/N].”

Murdoc:

Murdoc hadn’t seen you for awhile, and he was wondering where you had scampered off to. He glanced in the kitchen. Not there. With Noodle? Nope. Taking a bath? Nada. Murdoc was running out of places to look when one place came to mind: the room that he had let you stay in. He face-palmed. If only he had thought of that thirty minutes ago. He dragged his feet all the way there, tired of walking and searching altogether. If you weren’t there, he’d probably just give up and let you find him. He was rather confused when he felt the floor vibrate and a familiar bass line fill his ears as he got closer to his destination. He recognized the song as “Spitting Out the Demons” and was immediately intrigued. He didn’t know that you were a fan. When he entered your room, he found you dancing around to the room as you cleaned up. You looked at him with a smirk, “This song has such a killer bass. I wonder who played it.” Murdoc mirrored your smirk. “Only the best bassist to ever live.”

Russel:

When you had asked Russel what kind of music his band played, he couldn’t really pin down one genre and advised you to go and listen to some songs since it would be easier than him attempting to explain. When he told you to listen to a couple of songs, he figured that you would come back with knowledge of “Clint Eastwood” “Feel Good Inc” and maybe “Dare” though the next time he saw you, which was a few hours later, he heard you playing “Rock The House” through your headphones. “This is my second time going through all of the albums!” You explained to him eagerly, “I’m really liking all of the songs, Russ, you guys are so talented!” He smiled at your enthusiasm. You began to tell him your favorites and ended up providing some useful insight as to what the fans wanted when they wrote more songs.

Noodle:

Noodle held Katsu in her hands as she made her way to your room, looking to ask you a question about what you wanted for dinner, though she found a surprise waiting for her when she opened your door. She heard “Left Hand Suzuki Method” playing from your computer’s speakers as you doodled little drawings on a blank piece of paper. She sat Katsu on the bed next to where you were laying and you grinned at her when she began citing the lines in the song exactly. It was very cool to know that your girlfriend was a member of such a great band. “You’re so cool, Noodle.” You simply stated when the song ended and she laughed, “ありがとう!” She thanked you and you nodded to her. She forgot what she was supposed to ask you ask the three of you listened to Gorillaz together.
