Requested by Anon – the reader is Dick’s girlfriend, and meets Damian for the first time, and she doesn’t know he’s all anti-social and stuff so she just picks him up and cuddles him and he’s really confused but warms up to her.
Dick and you had been dating for a month now, and everything was going great. He was sweet and kind, always making sure to be there when you needed him. However, your relationship had gotten serious enough for Dick to want to bring you to Wayne Manor to meet his adopted family.
You were very nervous as Dick drove you up the long driveway to Wayne Manor. “Dick, are you sure about this,” you ask, anxiously rubbing your hands together.
Dick gives you a reassuring smile before placing one of his hands on yours. You entwine your fingers with his. “Yeah, I’m sure,” Dick answers as he brings the car to a stop in front of the house. Your eyes widen when you see just how big Wayne Manor is.
“What if they don’t like me,” you mumble, still stunned by the overwhelming presence of the manor.
“How could they not love you,” Dick soothes, gently kissing your cheek. “You are the most beautiful, wonderful person I have ever met.” You blush madly at his compliment.
“Dick,” you breathe, embarrassed at his flattery. He chuckles at you before getting out of the car, only to run to your side to open the door for you.
He holds his hand out to you, “It will be fine, I promise.” Putting your faith in him, you take his hand allowing him to pull you out of the car.
Everything had been going fine so far. You met Alfred, Bruce, and Tim who were all polite and welcoming to you. After a few minutes of small-talk, you all had a small brunch together. Dick never left your side, keeping your hand in his. When brunch was over, Dick and Tim volunteered to give you a tour of the house.
“You doing okay,” Dick whispers in your ear as you both climb the stairs to see the upper floor. Tim was slightly ahead of you.
“I’m fine,” you response, giving him a reassuring smile. Since everything had been going well so far, you were becoming more relaxed and confident. Besides, it also helped that you suspected Tim had a crush on you for he blushed every time you looked at him.
Dick kisses your cheek in reply as his hand squeezes yours. Reaching the top of the stairs, Tim began to point out who’s bedroom was who’s until you all reached Dick’s old room. Dick gave you a playful smile before opening the door and leading you inside.
“What,” Dick remarks, startled by the young boy sitting on the bed, drawing in a sketchbook. “Damian, what are you doing in here?”
Damian shot a look at you before huffing, “TT.” He looked so alone, it broke your heart. His green eyes were watery, making him appear like a kicked puppy.
“You are the cutest thing I have ever seen,” you say brightly before walking over to the bed to drag him into a tight hug. “I think we’re going to be the best of friends.”
Damian’s eyes widen in shock, unsure of what to do as he was pressed against your chest. It felt nice being held, but it was something he had never really experienced before. After all, his mother never hugged him.
Dick’s mouth dropped open as he watched Damian relax into your embrace. Tim gasped behind him, “Is she doing what I think she’s doing?” Dick, still unable to speak, nodded his head in confirmation.
Meanwhile, you were too busy squeezing the life out of Damian. You plant a kiss on the top of his head, which makes his face grow red. Damian still didn’t know what to do. After another moment, he carefully slipped his arms around you to hug you back. Feeling him returning your hug, you cuddled him even more.
“He’s going to kill her,” Tim warns as he moves to break them apart only to feel Dick’s restraining arm on his shoulder.
“Wait, look at what he’s doing,” Dick whispers, not believing what he was seeing. “He’s hugging her back.”
You began to rock Damian back and forth when you felt his arms tighten around you. “Why are you doing this,” he asks softly, so the others couldn’t hear. You smile gently at him before placing another kiss on his head.
“You looked like you needed a hug, besides I wanted to introduce myself to you,” you explain as Damian buried his face into your chest.
“You did not greet the others this way,” Damian pointed out, mumbling into your chest.
You giggle, pressing your forehead against the top of his head. “That’s because you’re special,” you clarify. After about another minute, Damian pulls away from you. You give him a big smile while he stares at you blankly, raising one eyebrow.
Ruffling his hair, he huffs at you before getting off the bed and walking calmly out of the room. He nods at Dick and Tim as he passes them. You watch him leave. After he is gone, you look at Dick and Tim who stare at you in wonderment.
“What,” you ask, innocently. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“You just hugged the demon,” Tim stammers, shaking his head in disbelief. He turns to Dick. “Your girlfriend must be a goddess.”
Dick shook himself out of his daze, still staring at you with wide-eyes. “I’m surprised he didn’t kill you,” he worries, walking over to you to take your hands. “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine,” you laugh, not believing what you are hearing. “Why are you acting like this?”
“Sweetheart, Damian is not a normal child,” Dick tries to explain, looking into your eyes as if to make sure Damian didn’t harm you in anyway.
You roll your eyes at him, “Dick, he’s just a little boy who wants attention.” Deciding you needed to change the subject, you spun around to get a good look at Dick’s old bedroom. “So, this was room was yours?”
Dick narrowed his eyes at your change of topic, but let it go. “Yeah, this was mine…” You and Dick began to chat about his misadventures within this room. Tim held his head in his hands, still trying to comprehend what had happened.
After Dick and Tim finished the tour of the Manor, it was time for you and Dick to leave. You were both at the front door, saying your goodbyes when you notice a small shadow creeping around the corner. Peaking around the corner, you see Damian approach nervously.
“Damian,” you cry happily, making him jump. You scoop him up into a hug, swinging him back and forth. “It was so nice to meet you, Damian. You should come visit us sometime,” you offer, smiling when you feel him return the hug.
“TT,” he huffs, burying his face into your hair. You throw a glance over your shoulder at Dick only to find the rest of the family wearing stunned expressions similar to Dick and Tim’s from earlier that day. Pressing a kiss to the top of Damian’s head, you let him go to take Dick’s hand.
“Come on, Dick, we have to be going,” you say, dragging a shocked Dick out of the house and towards your car. “Bye, everyone.” You laugh when you are only met with the disbelieving stares of the Wayne family. “Bye Damian,” you add sweetly, getting a blank stare in return. However, you could see a small glint in his eye.
Dick recovered from his surprise halfway to the car. Turning to you, he pressed a soft kiss to your lips. “You really are a goddess. No one has ever made Bruce speechless before,” he whisper heatedly against your ear.
Grinning wildly, you pull him to the car. “Once we get home, I’ll show you just how much a goddess I am,” you tease, giggling when Dick gulped down his desire.
“I’m yours,” Dick assures as you both enter the car to go home. The day had been an unforgettable one for you, but it had been a memorable one for Damian as well.
