Operation Mistletoe — Tim Drake x Reader

ask-a-robin:

My first Christmas prompt ever! It’s on the short side and I apologize for that. I like the way it ends though, so there’s that. Happy holidays lovelies!!

It was finally the month of December and Wayne Manor
was decked out for the holidays.

There were numerous Christmas trees throughout the
manor in all varying sizes and decorated in differing themes. Tim had the sneaking
suspicion that someone had decorated
each tree to match the color schemes of the various heroes that called the
manor home. Of all those in residence, Dick seemed the most likely suspect.

Some of the stair rails were wrapped in holly while
others had it draped from post to post. Wreaths were hung on each door that led
into the spacious manor. The occasional mistletoe was hung here and there over
strategic locations that saw the most amount of foot traffic. That one was definitely Dick’s doing. Too many people
had been caught under the small green plant unawares and forced to kiss one
another. Nothing bad had come from it yet. It did, however, give Tim an idea.

The genius detective had nicked some mistletoe from
over the library doors and placed it above the doorway to the kitchen. He knew
(Y/N) always woke up then ate breakfast while half asleep, so he could use the
opportunity to give her a good morning kiss without feeling too silly about it.
Not that he didn’t like to kiss her good morning, but most of the time his
brothers were around and Jason had a habit of catcalling the two. This was more
to prevent that from happening.

He heard (Y/N) sleepily making her way towards the
kitchen. Tim hurriedly grabbed the book he had grabbed when he took the mistletoe
from the library and situated himself directly under said stolen decoration.
The vigilante tried his best to appear nonchalant as his target approached. A
small, goofy smile found its way onto his lips as (Y/N) stepped under the
mistletoe. Before he could act, however, he was stopped by her groggy comment.

“Your book is upside down.”
