You sat in your shared apartment with Tim and watched him typing away on his laptop. His face was inches from the screen and his eyes were hyper focused as he was surrounded by empty coffee mugs.
“Hey Tim” You called from on the other side of the couch.
He pulled his eyes away to look at you. “Yes?”
“How much longer do you think you’ll be working on that? I was thinking we could grab some lunch.” You scooted closer. “I’ll even buy you a coffee.” You grinned.
He sighed. “I don’t think I can swing that today. I’ve got a million cases from Bruce, not to mention homework, and missions with the titans. I’m buried and if I don’t get it done then bad things will happen. Everything will fall into chaos and–” You cut him off by leaning in and kissing him.
Pretty soon he was crawling over you and pinning you under him. You smiled as you kissed him, successfully distracting him from the stress and frustration of his work.
After a while you pulled back and cupped his face. “You worry too much.” You shook your head and he smiled down at you. “I guess you’re right. They can go one afternoon without me. How about that coffee?”
Giggling you nodded. “My treat.”
