Just as you moved to close your locker, you felt a shadow fall by your side. It only took you a moment to realize that that shadow was Isaac, and almost immediately a smile fell on your lips as you closed your locker, turning to him with delighted eyes.

“Hey,” you called, voice soft, “what brings you over here?”

The first thing you noticed was how nervous Isaac seemed. He was fiddling with his fingers, lip in between his teeth as he gnawed on it and eyes glancing everywhere but at you. Though, you couldn’t possibly understand why. This wasn’t the first time you and Isaac had ever shared a conversation with one another, and normally, he was so confident.

When Isaac lacked a reply, your smile fell somewhat; “everything okay?”

“Y-Yeah,” Isaac stammered, nodding. Blinking, he shook his head, pulling a hesitant smile on his lips. “I was wondering if I could talk to you?”

The smile grew back on your lips as you nodded; “of course,” you assured. “What’s up?”

With a quick glance at his feet, Isaac coughed lightly, swallowing thickly before meeting your eyes. “Well, how do I start this…” Your brows furrowed at his words, wondering just what the hell he could have to talk to you about. Isaac continued nonetheless, voice shaky. “I’m just gonna go out and sa-say it. I like you, i like you a lot. I-I have for a while.”

Your lips parted, bafflement flooding you.

“I’m sure you don’t feel the same,” Isaac frowned, rubbing the back of his neck. “But I still wanted to tell you anyway. And if you’d give me the chance, i’d like to… to take you out for a date. I know that we deal with a lot of things kids our age shouldn’t, and maybe it isn’t ideal having a werewolf for a boyfrie-”

Stepping forward, you cut off Isaac’s ramblings by pressing your finger against his lips. With a grin, you nodded up at him; “i’d love to go out on a date with you.”

Isaac’s eyes widened, and disbelief flooded his gaze. “Really?”

With a soft giggle, you nodded. “Of course,” you exclaimed, “who wouldn’t want to go out with a handsome guy like yourself?”

Isaac’s cheeks flushed, but you thought he looked absolutely adorable. And with another nervous rub at the back of his head, Isaac smiled himself. “Great, i’ll pick you up at seven?”

“Seven, it is.”
