The one thing about sharing a couch with Gladio is that there isn’t really much space for you to fit in. Get used to the idea of having to use him as a couch because Gladio burly will take up a good majority of the space, so instead, you can sit on his lap or lay across him – which as it turns out if very comfortable.
At first glance, Gladio looks as if he is rather uncomfortable to lay across with all those muscles, but there is actually something very comfortable about him. There is a lot of surface area for you to work with, especially across that broad chest of his. It’s like having your own personal couch which will move and adjust to accept you perfectly, engulfing you in those strong, tattooed arms.
Under no circumstances are blankets ever going to be required. The moment that you even approach him with a warm sheet wrapped around your form Gladio will shake his head and open his arms for you, which will make you drop the blanket and clamber into the incredible warmth of his body. Gladio is like a space heater.
Most importantly you are allowed to choose whatever it is you are going to watch on the TV, playfully pinning Gladio down most of the time whilst you incessantly flip through all of the channels just to rile him up. It’s fun to watch him get to frustrated as you switch from one show to the next.
A good portion of the time Gladio will fall asleep on the couch, especially if you are sprawled across his chest, giving him that warmth and comfort of human touch. Honestly you never have the heart to wake him up and move him, a warrior needs his sleep, so instead, you just allow yourself to drift off too, reminding yourself just how lucky you are.
Ignis
For whatever reason, it is sometimes difficult to get Ignis to relax. Sometimes he is way too tense from either the days events before or something coming up in the future that he will have to deal with. So, keeping this in mind you make it your mission to try and get the poor man to relax whenever you can.
The couch would be lined with a dozen different blankets and cushions. The coffee table in front will have some different drink options and some snacks. The television will be playing Ignis’ favourite movie and you would be sprawled out across the couch wearing one of his button down shirts and grinning widely. It was you laying there all comfortable and cute which really sold him on the idea of a relaxing night in.
Sometimes it is difficult to get Ignis to switch off, so you do your best to sneak his phone away from him and perch yourself on the couch of the couch, massaging his shoulders in the way that he adores, leaning down to kiss his temple over and over, whispering sweet little nothings into his ear.
It almost humorous how you are able to watch Ignis melt into a relaxed state before your very eyes, humming and beginning to slump off to the side where you had stacked a bunch of pillows for him to lay against. This meant that you could now move too and lay in front of him, back against his chest and Ignis’ strong arm wrapped around you.
Honestly, you are willing to do anything to help Ignis finally relax after a long day and if this means that you get to lay in with him the next morning that would be even better, but for now you just enjoy whatever relaxing time that you can get with the busy man, smiling all the while.
Noctis
It wouldn’t really take much persuading to get Noctis to join you on the couch to binge watch some of your favourite TV shows and just spend some time together relaxing, not having to talk really, just enjoying each other’s companies in the simplest of ways.
There would be an overload of snacks, a bunch of blanks, pillows and everything else so you wouldn’t have to leave that couch for a couple hours. Not to mention you would be laying down with Noct behind you, wrapping his strong arms around your form, resting his chin on your shoulder.
Sometimes there would be mini-arguments about what you might want to watch on the TV. It would always be resolved at some point, whether it would be by flipping a coin, or by making little promises to one another that if they watch a certain show then either of you will make it up to them.
Most of the time you would win what would be shown on TV, but a good half of the time Noctis would end up enjoying the show a lot more than you would. That would always make you laugh, the way that he got so invested into the characters, hushing you politely when you would begin to speak about something trivial.
It would end up with both of you falling into a deep slumber on the couch, snoring, covered in half a dozen blankets and tangled up in each other’s arms. There was nothing that you loved more than falling asleep next to Noctis like this because it more than likely would end with him very romantically carrying you to bed.
Prompto
This entire situation would be something that Prompto would initiate. He wanted to relaxed after a long day, but most importantly he would want to relax and have fun with you by his side, showing you all of these shows that he loved so much – Prompto wanted to laugh and cry and be shocked with you. So he took his time setting up the couch just right for when you would return home, where you would find him sprawled across it, mouth full of popcorn and remote in hand.
For the first ten minutes you honestly wouldn’t be that interested, especially with Prompto blabbing about everything you had missed in the episodes prior to this one, all of his favourite characters, all of the ones he didn’t like, the ones he didn’t trust and so on. Which left you laying there behind his scrawny yet muscular form, arms tied around him and almost dropping off to sleep.
Honestly when you gave the show a real chance and somehow managed to block Prompto out you began to enjoy it. Soon enough you had both traded positions and instead you were both laying down with you placed behindPrompto allowing him to be the little spoon – a position you both adored.
As the episode was coming to a close you and Prompto were left in shock by the cliffhanger that it had ended on. Both whining about needing to watch the new episode now, giggling and speaking about what you think might happen, or what you want to happen.
The fact that you were taking this keen interest in something that Prompto adored only made him fall for you harder, grinning gently as he watched the credits roll, nodding his head and listening to you speak. Of course he would suggest go back and watch the episodes and the seasons prior to this one, but perhaps that could come on another night when you both weren’t so tired.
