Shinsou Hitoshi
- As much as Shinsou hated the cold, when it came to being completely snowed in, he actually didn’t really mind it.
- His main issue with winter was being out in the cold since he hated the whole fuss and annoyance of bundling up only for the five minutes it took to get from the dorms to school. That, and snow was a pain in the ass, so overall winter was definitely not his favorite season, but with you around this year things were a bit different.
- With you, he started to understand why so many couples considered winter a ‘romantic’ time of the year. With you he was willing to brace the cold if it meant he got to hold you close as you walked through to park, plus he always secretly wished you got cold because you looked painfully cute wearing his scarf bundled all the way up to your nose. Along with your walks, he loved the hot cocoa runs to the cafe or just walking around town and enjoying the festive lights together.
- While the classic winter outdoor activities were fun for him, however, being stuck inside with you was just as nice.
- For one, it gave him an excuse to cuddle up with you without looking like he was too needy, simply claiming that he was freezing and you were hogging all of his blankets anyways.
- Along with that, even though he had to admit that in all honesty he hated those cheesy feel good Christmas themed movies, he would still pay to watch them with you cuddled up to his side. Just seeing you smile or laugh at some Christmas pun was enough to make his heart warm even if it was followed by you teasing him for being a ‘Scrooge’ when he didn’t seem as invested in the heartwarming scene in the television as you were.
The best thing of all, however, passed the shared cups of hot chocolate and mooshy movies, was the quietness afterwords. The feeling of your heart beating against his own as you slowly fell asleep lying against his chest watching the snowflakes lazily fall from the sky outside his bedroom window, followed by the soft feeling of your lips brushing against his own before you muttered out a sleepy ‘Night Hitoshi’. Now that, that was definitely the best thing of all, and for once in his life, that was what made him finally think: ‘Thank god for winter.’
