recuva – accidentally deleted something in the recycling bin? recover it back with this program!
speccy – tells you the specs of your computer, among other things
defraggler – defrag the SHIT out of your hard drive and clean it right up
This is a great post what makes it even better is that most of these you can get from Ninite which will download and install the latest versions of all available software ALL AT ONCE without you having to worry about adware or the annoying clutter (toolbars, changing your default search engine) that sometimes comes with their individual installers. So, yeah. Have at it folks.

Medibang– ^^^ All of FA’s features + cloud saves and uploads that let you switch between computers/devices as long as you’re logged in. Features geared more towards manga artists.
Shotcut– completely free, opensource video editing software that’s good for basic video editing and exporting!
Krita– Real nice brush mechanics with a really cool animation feature!
Opentoonz– Steep learning curve but complete opensource animation software!
Storyboarder– Quick intuitive software for storyboarding, includes audio integration and allows you to edit in real time with an external drawing program of your choice (PS, Medibang etc..)
Carapace– lets you create a perspective grid and also export it to your own native drawing program! (Original link down but someone on the forums had the download file so just a warning)
WriteMonkey– Distraction-free writing program that has optional typewriter sfx, custom layout and even has a progress bar with optional timer for those word sprints!
GifSplitter– let’s you break down a gif into frames in a folder. Very lightweight
PureRef– Stores all your picture refs, allowing you to annotate and organize to your hearts content. Lets you save the ref file as well!
