Requested by: anonymous Hey can you do a Bucky x reader with the bonfire prompt?
You’re sitting on a log next to Natasha trying to focus on the story she’s telling you about a mission she went on with Clint. Your thoughts, however, are on a certain super soldier who is bent over a growing pile of wood. You can just make out the argument he’s having with Sam on how the logs should be stacked.
“-then I stripped down and danced in front of Parliment.”
Your eyes stay on Bucky’s form. “That’s great, Natty. I’m sorry that I couldn’t be there.”
She flicks you on the head and your eyes snap to hers. “You’re not even listening to me,” she says with a knowing smirk. “You can’t take your eyes off your boyfriend’s ass for three minutes.”
You duck your head and will away the heat you feel spreading across your cheeks. “He’s got a great ass.”
“I can’t argue with that. I’ll tell you what actually happened later, go get your man.”
You pat her leg before standing up to join Bucky, “Thanks, Nat. I promise I’ll be less distracted later.”
Bucky leans down and sets the kindling on fire and the flames dance along the woodpile, bathing the forest in soft firelight. He notices you approaching and sweeps you into his arms and settles near the fire with you in his lap.
You lean your head on his shoulder and look up at him. “You guys did a good job with the fire. I think we have stuff for s’mores around here somewhere.”
He chuckles and wraps his arms around your waist. “I’m glad my great ass is good for something,” he smiles down at you.
“Damn super soldier hearing,” you whine and bury your face in his neck.
“Don’t worry about it, I thought it was cute. I am sorry I distracted you from Natasha, though.”
“It’s not my fault that you are so distracting.” You turn your face up towards him and he leans down to press his lips to yours. He tastes like graham crackers and chocolate and you pull away from him with a smile. “You raided the s’mores supplies didn’t you?”
He bites his lip and nods his head softly. “There was so much, I figured that nobody would notice.”
“You’re not that sneaky, Mr. Barnes. I wonder if I should tell the rest of the group about your transgression,” you glace toward everyone spread out near the fire.
“I’ll pay you in kisses if you don’t.”
“Seems fair to me, but it’s going to cost you a lot of kisses,” you grin at him. “You want me to go get some marshmallows to roast?”
“Maybe in a minute, doll. I’ve got everything I need right here.”
You glance down at his lips as he talks. “Pay up, Buck.” He beams at you and he pulls your face to him again.
