Bakugou’s Breakdown

pluskirishima:

Hi! So I have an idea and I would like to see more of your works so I was wondering if I could request a Headcannon or Scenario (whichever you prefer) where Bakugou’s having a mental breakdown in front of his s/o without even noticing, but his s/o does and they are quick to comfort him and reassure him? Thank you so much! I’ve seen a lot of Character comforting S/O but I’d like to see the opposite!

– Bakugou never talks about his feelings because it makes him feel weak

– but the second he lets his guard down, he feels his chest tighten

– his eyes are wide and frantic and he can’t get a grip on his thoughts

– tugs at his hair until his scalp aches

– punches at the walls and screams until his throat is raw

– but that’s only within the confides of his room

– in class, he’s more aggressive than usual

– almost starts a fight with Kirishima of all people

– you pull him into one of the empty hallways when lunch begins

– “What the fuck do you want?”

– you ask him what’s wrong and he stays silent

– until you see his chest start to heave as he slams his hands against the wall, trapping your between his arms as he rests his head against yours

– “Why am I so fucking weak? I can barely beat fucking Deku, every since he got All Might’s quirk. Why did I have to be the cause of All Might’s downfall? I can’t be a fucking hero if I was the reason the #1 quit.”

– his body starts shaking and you can see the tears at the edges of his eyes

– you don’t hesitate to pull him into your arms, the both of you collapsing onto the ground as he buries his head into the crook of your shoulder

– you reassure him that he’s the strongest guy you know, that his determination and passion to be a hero is all he needs

– your heart breaks when he lets out a hoarse scream and you know he’s been holding in all his frustrations

– you comb your fingers through his hair and let him cry it out, especially since these are one of the rare times he ever lets his walls down

– you whisper praises in his ear, telling him that he’s doing amazing and that he shouldn’t let this little bump stop him from getting to his dream

– you wait until he calms down, wiping the tears from his cheeks and pepper small kisses against his skin

– “now, who’s going blow up all the villain’s asses?”

– “I fucking am.”

– “there’s my hero.”
