Alois would be so startled when you said “I love you” for the first time. You were both just resting in his gardens, enjoying the silence and one another’s company in the beauty of the summer afternoon, when you took his hand in yours and gave him the warmest smile followed by the warmest words he’d ever heard. His entire being would melt, he loves you so much
He’d smile brightly and grasp your hands tightly in his, his entire face would light up as he leant towards you and stuttered an energetic “I-I love you too, {Y/n}!” He’d laugh adorably and pull you into a warm hug, he’d be so warmed when you wrapped your arms around him in response with your own adorable giggle.
You’d fall backwards and onto the grass in one each other’s arms and would remain there for the rest of the day, enjoy the warmth of the love you both felt in the other’s embrace, until Claude came to fetch you for dinner and, even then, you both kept your hands tightly together and refused to let go of the one you loved.
