GENTLE TOUCH [ALUCARD/READER]
He laid just out of the reach of the sun filtering through stained glass windows, narrowed eyes trained on the high ceiling. In that moment, he was keenly aware of your presence and fingers plucking delicately at locks of his hair. His shoulders seized at the scuff of fabric and the cushions dipping as you ventured closer, experimenting with twining his hair like gold rings.
You were too bold for your own good; it was as much a burden as it was refreshing to him. Moments of solitude were difficult for him to savor these days, especially as you came and went as you pleased, and at some point he had stopped trying to hide from you. Or rather, perhaps he didn’t see the need to.
It was the most bizarre thing to have someone touch him so carefully, caring to not snag any of his hair as your fingers drifted fluidly through the length. When you finally slithered to the root, he thought your movements became softer.
The pads of your fingers barely skimmed his scalp, a ghost of a touch that left him anticipating the next. He noticed the way you moved your hand, languid and long, shifting as though drawing an ocean wave with his hair.
Until the moment you stopped and withdrew your fingers, he hadn’t realized just the lull he had been lured into. The way such a simple touch melted the tension from his body.
“You’ve stopped?” he was tempted to look at you.
“Oh! So, you were awake?” you asked bashfully, making no motion to move away. “Sorry, couldn’t help myself. Want me to keep going?”
He hesitated at first, allowing the room to succumb to brief silence before answering, nearly inaudible, “Yes”.
Once again, you fingers teased his scalp with graceful strokes and he heard a delighted hum as he pushed his head more firmly against you and closed his eyes.
alucard is literally one of my all time favorite bois. i love him so much.
oh for the human touch prompt – you should do any character of your choosing with stroking hair!! cause that’s freaking cute!!!
