Rem
-It only came up because you and Rem were going to a party together and you were worrying over if the dresses you had were too formal or too informal.
-Rem reaches past you and picks up a short sleeved dress off the bed. “How about this? This is about right for where we’re going?”
-You inwardly cringe. Your stretch marks, on display for the world to see. No. “I don’t know how I feel about that one…”
– “Why? You used to wear this a lot.”
– “I did… but then I gained some weight and got stretch marks on my arms.”
Rem stares at you blankly, clearly not comprehending what the problem is.
-You sigh and roll up your sleeve, revealing what look like bright red scratches running along your upper arm. “See?” You can’t quite look him in the eye.
– “…I see.” Rem still seems a little bit confused. “But aren’t those normal for humans?”
“It doesn’t mean I want people to see them.”
-He hesitates, then reaches across and pulls a cardigan off the bed. “You could wear this with it, if you don’t want people to see them. But just know that those marks are something that lots of others have and that you are beautiful with them.”
Urie
-Urie noticed something was a little bit off, but he didn’t put it all together until he accidentally walked in on you changing.
– “Butterfly, I – oh!”
-You squeal in surprise and scramble to grab a shirt to cover up. You don’t quite do it in time and Urie gets a good look at the bright red, scratch like marks that run up your stomach.
-You instinctively hold your arms in front of your stomach, trying to hide them. You turn around to get your shirt.
-A hand settles on your shoulder and Urie pulls you back around. “May I see?”
-You shake your head vigorously. “They’re stretch marks, what could you possibly need to see?”
“What’s wrong with them?”
-You hesitate. “They’re stretch marks. They’re ugly.”
Urie “They’re a part of you, and I adore every inch of you.”
You shake your head weakly. “Urie… while I appreciate that, they are stretch marks.”
-Urie shakes his head. “You are absolutely beautiful, and you are absolutely unique. Those marks are part of what makes you unique.” He takes your hand. “May I?”
-You slowly move your arm, letting him see the marks on your stomach.
-Urie ignores the marks and wraps both arms around you, pulling you against him. “Don’t say parts of you are ugly. Nothing about you could ever be ugly to me. Things like that are what make you yourself, and you’re wonderful to me.”
Mage
-He questioned why you wore so many long sleeved shirts, given the weather, but you look great so he didn’t care.
-Then he decided he wanted to drag you to the beach. Which would, naturally, require a bathing suit.
– “Mage, I don’t think -”
“Come on, it’s hot out! Just get your bathing suit and we can go.”
-There’s nothing for it. “Mage…” You roll up your sleeves to show him. “I don’t really want people to see these.”
Mage looks at them for a moment. “That’s it?”
-“It?”
“Most humans have marks like that somewhere, right?”
“Yeah… but that doesn’t mean I really want people to see mine.”
-He leaves it alone after that and doesn’t try to pressure you into things like that again.
Shiki
-He appears suddenly in the middle of you changing.
“Ah!” You instinctively try to cover yourself with your arms. “What did I say about randomly appearing when I’m changing?!”
Shiki shrugs. “I got tired of waiting.” He squints. “Hey, what are those?”
“What?”
“All those red marks on your stomach and your hips. Are they new?”
You cross your arms across your stomach as your face heats up.
-He walks across to you and pulls your arms aside, studying the marks intensely.
You don’t dare look into his eyes.
Shiki begins to trace one of them with his finger. “What are these?”
“They’re… stretch marks?”
“Is that what they’re called?” He seems fascinated, continuing to trace them with his finger. He’s silent for a few moments. “Stretch marks…”
– “You… don’t you think they’re kind of…”
“Kind of what?” His eyes remain fixed on the marks, clearly fascinated. “You humans have such interesting bodies…”
“…Never mind.”
Lindo
-He would never have thought about it if he hadn’t noticed that it was the middle of summer and you were wearing long pants.
“Hey, aren’t you hot? It’s 40 degrees out. Are you sure you want to wear those?”
“It’s fine.”
“Are you sure?”
-You’re at home and Lindo won’t leave you alone about you overheating, so you sigh and go to change. Once he sees, he’ll leave you alone about it.
-When you walk back downstairs, he takes a look, eyes halting at the marks momentarily. “See? I’m not exactly…”
“You’re not exactly what?” Lindo stares at you for a moment, as if considering what to say next. “If you want to cover them up, for whatever reason, that’s up to you. But a couple marks on your legs don’t matter to me. I like your legs as they are, because they’re yours.”
Roen
-Roen notices your attempts to hide the marks on your arms, wearing long sleeves all the time no matter what the weather is.
-He doesn’t bring it up with you though. He wants you to bring it up if it’s an issue for you and communicate with him, as long as it’s not detrimental to your well being.
-When he finds you examining them in the mirror and looking upset, he stands behind you and decides to finally speak up. “You know those are normal, right? There’s nothing wrong with having them.”
-You turn around. “Yeah, but that doesn’t mean I really like them either… they don’t look very good.”
– Roen walks across to you and takes both your hands. “You are lovely. Those stretch marks don’t determine whether or not you are attractive.” He releases your hands and goes in for a hug. “You might not be comfortable showing them in public, but if you want to wear short sleeves around the house, I want you to feel comfortable doing that. I don’t honestly don’t care about them.”
-You return the embrace. “Thank you, Roen.”
