• it’s not often that you see runaan jealous
• but when he does, ohhh you better prepare for it
• you don’t notice his signs of jealousy at first since he covers it up well
• runaan has a jumble of feelings inside of him but he seems normal on the outside like how can he do that so effortlessly??
• he sees that you’re getting a little too close for comfort to some of the other elves
• at first, runaan doesn’t want to act on his instincts bc he fears that he might be overreacting
• he can only keep up the act for a while until he becomes crankier and starts snapping at the other elves
• he starts secluding himself and doesn’t interact with anyone as much bc he wants to get rid of these jealous feelings since they’re a distraction to him
• finally one day, he just snaps
• “(y/n), can i talk to you?”
• he leads you to a more private part of the forest and along the way, he tries to form sentences of what he wants to say to you
• “what is it, love?”
• great. his resolve just went out the door and he stands there silently like a fool
• you cock an eyebrow. “something’s bothering you.”

• he takes a deep breath. “look, this may sound silly..”
• “go ahead. i’m sure it won’t.”
• “i’m jealous. i’m jealous of how you get to spend more time training with the other elves than me and how you’re closer to them. i don’t see you as often anymore and that upsets me..”
• you place a soft hand on his cheek and looked lovingly into his eyes
• “i’m sorry that we barely get any time together, i truly am…how about we meet up here every night? just the two of us. we can spend time with each other as long as you want.”
• runaan nodded at your suggestion. “i’d like that.”
