I’m new to tumblr, so I hope I’m asking in the right spot ;w; Could I get a Tamaki Amajiki reader-insert in which Tamaki struggles with wording his feelings for his S/O (even though they’ve been dating for a few months already) and thus tries to convey his feelings through poetry?

Sorry for the wait on this! Aaaah, I’m so excited to see Tamaki in this week’s episode(!!!) ❤

  • Tamaki has always had difficulty expressing words properly. It doesn’t mean to say that he hasn’t done it before–he’s said some very sweet and sincere stuff to his friend Mirio, after all–but sometimes nerves just cause him to draw a blank
  • In this case, however, in which Tamaki wishes to voice his feelings for it, it isn’t necessarily a blank, but rather, Tamaki doesn’t even know where to start. There are so many things he wants to tell you, but every time the two of you spend time alone together or hold hands or catch each other’s eyes from across the room, his mind becomes all sorts of a pleasant fuzzy with a warm sensation blooming in his chest.
  • Even though the two of you have been together for a while now, it seems like every moment with you is a new beginning with endless possibilities, and his words become a jumbled mess of compliments, gratitude, and innocent desires. They become cute (but to him, personally frustrating) stutters similar to the way his heart leaps against his ribcage.
  • Nejire is the one who suggests Tamaki use poetry. He decides that it sounds like a good idea; poetry is romantic, and maybe the flow and rhythm of it all will help make the words leave him that much easier.
  • But all the love poems he can find online don’t fully convey the feelings he feels for and with you, so he makes his own with the help of his friends, and it’s something he’s satisfied with.
  • When the two of you are finally able to find some time along together, Tamaki shakily takes out a piece of paper from his pocket. He wrote the poem there, hoping that maybe having it on hand will help him with his nerves (it does, tremendously). He understands it might not be as romantic if he were to just read off of it, but he’s more concerned with actually being able to speak. He knows that his sentiment will reach you.
  • He clears his throat before starting, already messing up and stuttering on the first word. His voice carries in the air, quiet at first but slowly gaining confidence the longer he speaks. Every now and then, he’ll peek up from the sheet in front of him and see you looking at him with a fond and sweet expression on your face, prompting him to stumble on a few letters before bringing his gaze back down, the tips of his ears a reddish hue.
  • His words are genuine and full of adoration, and when he finally finishes with a huge sigh of relief, you wrap your arms around him, giggling with glee. He returns your embrace with a smile, his feelings finally taken shape.
