Here’s some soft for you – Bucky Barnes and bath bombs. Thoughts?

OOOOOF OKAY tbh i have a lot of thoughts on this

Bucky definitely loves bath bombs. He totally has never heard of them before the 21st century (although using some ingredients like epsom salts and pieces of fruit like lemon were definitely a thing he might be familiar with, because those are old-fashioned remedies). He loves the simple thought of relaxing naked–because it’s an alluring thought, tbh–but add in some snazzy stuff to make him feel better? He’s all in. 

He definitely is the type to be shy about it at first. With his SO, it starts out really really shy. Because he isn’t aware of bath bombs (“You’re putting what in the tub??”) so when you explain it to him, show him one and drop it in the warm water, he’s kinda like oh.

I think at first he’d sit next to the tub while you were soaking, if either of you wanted to be near the other. Maybe you light a few candles, have a book, and are just chilling and Bucky is like “babe” and you tell him to just come the fuck in because you had a long day and are nursing a drink, so he comes in and sits next to you on the floor and you two chat about your days. He’ll do that at first, when he misses you and feels a lil needy and can’t wait until you come out and cuddle with him.

When you tell him he can join you, it takes him a minute, that pink forming on his cheeks that you love so much. He’ll ask all kinds of questions (“what’s in it?” “What does it do?” “Am I supposed to get in the water first or drop it in first?”) and tbh it’s so endearing because he doesn’t want to mess up but how the fuck can you mess up a bath. So you kiss him and tell him to undress while the tub fills and then you climb in, sitting between his legs and he cautiously wraps his arms around you and pulls you back into him. And then you drop the bath bomb.

It’s your favorite, pink with flecks of orange and rose petals emerge from the water, and he watched in wonder as it fizzles. Camomile and rose scents fill the bathroom and it’s so light and sweet and he feels so content. You rub at his legs, letting the hints of Shea butter soak into his skin that’s submerged.

It doesn’t take him long to love baths and bath bombs. It becomes his favorite time to spend with you, other than being in bed and cuddling. You guys go out and buy different ones to try and definitely have a small basket of them waiting at home. And sometimes you surprise him with his favorite one after a particularly hard day or mission and it makes him melt. He loves the warm water, the scents, how his skin feels afterwards. But mostly he loves being in there, with you, as you rub his skin and kiss his face and he gets to hold you and be close to you and just feel like a normal man with his SO. Bucky being domestic is one of my favorite things and also his.

I will fight for this til my dying breath.
