Incredible blog! Really detailed and I just love every single post! Congratulations and thank you, friend! I was thinking, could you do one for half-dragon? (maybe one that came from an evil dragon parent, like the chromatics from D&D, and is constantly shunned in both Dragonkind and humankind)

flavorfullfluff:

Did you say…D&D?!?!?! (born and raised on 3rd
edition heck yeah) Also I love the writing for dragons in D&D, I have a PDF
of the Dracanomicon and I just LOVE reading it.

It’s a bit more story style, I hope that’s okay! I actually gave him a name right off the bat too. And i went with the D&D vibe and actually went with white dragon ancestry. I don’t delve too thuroughly into his actual past, choosing to focus more on his adult life and his meeting/falling with the reader. But if you’d like me to delve into some other part of him or his past feel free to ask about it!

  • Vayolous has never known an easy or kind life,
being half white dragon has made him a target for scorn and fear. So naturally
he retreated from the lands familiar to him and found himself a secluded spot
in a snowy forest where he could hunt and live as peacefully as possible.
  • After building his cabin, from what supplies he brought
with and that which he could find, he discovered he really enjoyed working with
wood, building or carving. So when he’s not hunting for his next meal he’s sat
slouched on his stool in front of the fireplace, widdling away at a hunk of
wood until it looks like an animal. He especially loves carving deer and elk.
  • One day as he’s out for a walk he stumbles upon
a clearing he’d never been to before and there you were. He immediately went to
hide behind one of the thicker trees, hoping you hadn’t seen him. But of course
you did, someone that big and burly is hard to miss. You startle him
accidentally as you come around the tree. You laugh and apologize and he
falters as you smile at him. Not once has someone smiled at him like that, not
even on the day he was born did anyone smile.
  • He’s nervous around you for some time, unsure of
your intentions. But eventually he becomes a permanent feature in your days. Even
if you don’t come to find him sometimes he’ll come looking for you. The two of
you always manage to cross paths even in such a large forest. You’re often
patching up his wounds for him which would otherwise be very sloppily taken
care of. He calls you a mother hen more often than you’d like to admit.
  • He’s incredibly sweet, though reserved. He hides
things from you sometimes, unsure about how to open up about his thoughts and
feelings. It’s particularly hard for him to talk about his past. You understand
of course and you never push him, he has to learn that it’s safe for him to
talk to you whenever he’s ready to.
  • As the two of you grow closer you notice a subtle
change in atmosphere. He stands closer to you and there’s no tension in his
shoulders. He offers to treat you to dinner and gives you gifts like carvings
or interesting things he finds while on walks. He’s actually a surprisingly
good cook, you half expected him to only eat meat but he does have a root
cellar stocked with wild vegetables he gathers during the warmer months.
  • On one particularly cold evening you find
yourself having to stay the night due to a storm. Vayolous offers the bed to
you and you immediately refuse, saying you couldn’t possibly rob him of his
bed. He smirks then and picks you up right off the ground and flops onto the
bed with you sprawled out on top him, then throws the blankets over the two of
you. He’s so incredibly warm and as his arms wrap around you, you feel
    completely safe.
  • After that he picks up a habit of nipping at
your cheek and nuzzling your face every chance he gets. He gets cocky too and
thinks he can get away with patting your bum when you’re not paying attention
but you elbow him hard every time.
