After bathing and grooming, your dragon loves to have their scales polished by you. The whole time they purr and groan.
You’ve found a few places that they really enjoy having scratched. Best spots? Under the chin, at the wing joints, and the base of the tail. Scratching anywhere here will cause them to turn to putty.
They enjoy writing poetry and reciting it to you, both in your tongue and the dragon language. Often the poems are about how much they value you or the beauty of nature.
You enjoy using the little flames that they can produce as a campfire. This dragon particularly enjoys roasted apples.
On days when the weather is nice, they will invite you onto their back. You soar into the air and gaze about the surrounding countryside, taking in the beautiful rocky hills and peering into the river that cuts through them.
Your dragon is also an excellent fisher and enjoys diving deep into the waters to catch lunch. You shout words of encouragement from the shoreline.
On cold or stormy nights, they’ll bring you close and set a wing overhead so that you stay warm while you sleep.
Their cave is full or priceless artifacts, but they claim you are their greatest treasure.
One time dragon slayers showed up at the cave. Your dragon wanted to roast them on the spot. You convinced everyone to cool down and have dinner. By the end of the evening everyone was laughing and getting along. You’re pretty sure those former dragon slayers opened a tavern and got married, you should write to them.
You could gaze into those beautiful fire filled eyes for hours. They make you feel warm and secure. Also maybe a tad excited, after all, you’re in love with a dragon 🔥🔥🔥
