-It’s no surprise that this relationship is rather… quiet
-Near prefers not to speak unless he has to and you just learn to roll with it
-It actually turns out to be kind of nice
-You quickly learn how to tell what the other is thinking just by looking at each other
-You think of it as some kind of super power/bonding experience
-Near does enjoy that he can tell you exactly how he feels just by getting your eyes
-He’s not the best with expressing how he feels, but that was just how he was raised
-But either way you work it out
-Just simple touches can set the cutie on FIRE
-He’s never been one for touching but from you… it’s different
-He soon finds himself to like your touches, even finding himself to be craving your touch
-One day the craving becomes too much
-He simply grabs you by the arm and sits you in his lap, continuing his work like nothing had ever happened and expecting everyone to act accordingly
-You don’t mind this at all
-You even allow him to stroke your hair as you make yourself comfortable in his lap
-You guys find that you both get work done faster this way
-Sitting with your back to his chest, his head resting on top of yours in complete silence as the both of you flip through papers, sending secret messages through a simple touch or glance
-It’s truly an amazing relationship
-He likes to twirl your hair around his finger when he’s thinking
-It happens more often than not when Near’s deep in thought
-He subconsciously grabs for a lock of your hair as you sit in front of him in sort of the same way he grabs at his own hair in the rare occasion you aren’t with him
-You guys are extremely close emotionally and physically
-Sometimes so close that it’s hard for Near to be away from you sometimes
-He tried to push you away at first, not wanting to get you hurt
-But now he accepts the closeness between the two of you and brings you everywhere with him
-Except when he can’t
-Except when it’s absolutely too dangerous and you have to stay behind
-He won’t stay away long though
-He makes an excuse to the rest of the team that he just thinks better when you’re at his side
-In reality he really REALLY misses you
-One particular time, he had been away for almost two whole days and you were fighting not to grab your phone to call him
-Finally when you couldn’t hold off your urge to call him any longer you snatched your phone, already pressing the speed dial
-It only rang once when the door to your shared room was thrown open, revealing a familiar white haired detective
-You practically threw your phone across the room with excitement as you ran to hug your boyfriend
-Near hugged back immediately, whispering quiet apologies in your ear
-”I love you so much… I’m sorry-”
-”It’s okay. I love you too Near.”
-You spent the entire night just holding each other
-Near’s kisses are quite the rare thing to come by
-There either just isn’t not enough time in the day or he simply just forgets about this simple form of affection
-His kisses are soft and lingering, ones that stick with you for what seems like a lifetime
-A kiss from Near is only as a “last resort” or if he thinks he will be gone from you for a long time
-He doesn’t usually innate the kiss, leaving you to make the first move if you feel the need to
-His favorite form of affection is simply holding you close to himself
-Near really cares a lot about you and will try his hardest to keep you safe from any harm that could come your way in result of dating him
-You know he would never hurt you and that he cares
-Though he is a man of few words, you know he cares for you dearly with his entire being
